2017-06-06 20:54:43 +0000 UTCI think that might just be a myth, insofar as I've heard that it's debatable whether berserkers were actually a thing at all, or were just something that was invented for nordic sagas. There's substantial evidence, though, that ancient Gaelic warriors actually fought Roman legions largely completely naked, which might explain why they got conquered by them.
