Fisheye perspective is difficult, but I gave it a shot. I avoided extreme distortions like the kind that make you go, “How does this angle even exist??” But I did apply some mild distortion to Nahia-chan’s left side, which made it tricky to draw.
Another challenge was the pose. Having two characters sit on the street while eating turned out to be more difficult than I expected. It was a combination of tricky perspective and a challenging pose. While studying the pose, I realized something: when a character lowers their head, the positioning of the armpit folds (of course) needs to be adjusted. Otherwise, no matter how much I tilt the upper body, it won’t actually look like it’s bending forward. The pelvis was also tough. Even though it’s not visible in the drawing, it still felt unnatural, so I used photo references and even sat in the same position myself. That’s when I noticed that the transition between the torso, pelvis, and legs happens much more gradually than I initially thought.
