Harvestables & Recipes Poll
Added 2023-04-14 17:17:43 +0000 UTCI'd like to know how you guys feel about having different harvestable variations. I'm going to use Chives as an example although this would apply to any harvestables moving forward...
Option #1. You prefer to have a generic 'Chives' harvestable that can be used for all recipes that normally require a variation of that ingredient. This would mean that real life recipes that would normally call for 'Garlic Chives' would use 'Chives' in-game instead.
Option #2. You prefer to have 2 separate harvestables, such as a 'Chives' and a 'Garlic Chives' harvestable, to use for recipes. This would mean that recipes would require one or the other and they would not be interchangeable.

I love having the variety, it all depends on what recipes I plan on having a farm use. Some are winter farms, some into herbalism, some are vineyards, some bakeries. I dont know if I need more variety of harvestables added as much as needing more recipes for what we already have. Like I grow tons of multicolored carrote/tomatoes and bell pepper, but the only thing you can make with an orange bell pepper is a halloween dish. I love how they look when they are growing and I love grafting the different colors together, i just want to be able to do more with what we have. (because it's just too amazing NOT to use more often <3)

2023-04-16 10:32:27 +0000 UTCAs a replay/update, I LOOOOVE both your grape + rose crops. I love it when you add variations to the same crop, if that makes sense. Just my own op. Gardening takes forever and is a dedication of your sim's lives with you have 60+ crops to choose from

2023-04-16 02:33:24 +0000 UTCI know it's not exactly what you were expecting, and, I normally don't comment, but, I feel like I wanna make my thoughts known. I use lots of food mods and there's a lot of harvestables that I feel like I never use. I don't want to come across as ungrateful because I use most of your work, but, there are just too many harvestables. My sims' gardens are too big as it is. If I use Simple Living, it basically cuts a huge portion of the game out for me. I don't ever download the harvestables because I simply have too many between how many food mod makers there are. A system from you that adds colors vs real life versions of crops is far more appealing to me. It takes too long to garden to many plants to make downloading crops worth it. I don't want to seem negative, just realistic. I literally never use your harvestables. There are just too many to be usable for me.
