Kobungo Inuda was living as a normal human being in order to lead a second life in modern Japan. Shinbei, a former Hakkenshi and his nephew, appears there.
He has information that the other Hakkenshi are targeting Kobungo, and tries to convince him that he needs to be by his side to protect his uncle.
However, Kobungo remembers a nightmare in which he was trampled on by one of the Hakkenshi long ago...
あらすじ
現代の日本で第二の人生を送るべく犬田 小文吾（いぬた こぶんご）は普通の人間として生活を送っていた。そこに元八犬士で甥である犬江 親兵衛（いぬえ しんべえ）が現れる。新兵衛は他の八犬士達が小文吾を狙っているという情報を持っており、伯父の身を守る為、傍にいようと迫る。
そんな小文吾は昔、八犬士の一人から蹂躙された悪夢を思い出す…
