I put all my thumbnail drawings I made over this year into one big .RAR folder, for those who have asked!
Includes a bonus unused colour variant of some drawings ✧・゚: ✧・゚
There are two folders, 37 images in .png format:
OG.RAR is 129 MB uncompressed. I work on a x2 scale canvas at 300dpi. You will see all the lines and uh.... "happy accidents" in this one! (Sorry it's so huge)
1080p.RAR is 58.2 MB uncompressed. Similar quality, smaller images.
Hope you are having a wonderful yuletide and I wish you all a very Happy New Year 🌟
A reflection on my journey:
Collecting these all together brought back some memories.
My personal favourite of the year is the Kitsune goddess from May! I would say it's where I noticed the most change. I was trying new techniques.
Some drawings are more 'successful' than others (staying consistent is ever elusive!), I'm always learning what does or doesn't work. Some days I have more energy, more time, or just more luck than others.
My goal for 2026 is to be more consistent. It's great to have that one nice drawing, but to notice slow improvement over many drawings makes me feel proud.
Despite the hardships of 2025, I'm looking forward to growing more as an artist. This is like my training arc. It's just so fun to draw!! When you're not hitting your head against a wall trying to figure out lighting values.
It can feel embarrassing to look back at old drawings, but it's also helpful to see the path you walked.
I encourage anyone who is thinking about starting an art or any hobby, not just illustration, to get going. You never know where you might be in a year from now... or even next week, sometimes. You will surprise yourself with what you can achieve.
Thank you for all the encouragement this year. You have been like chicken noodle soup for my soul. Here's to a fun and joyful 2026, with plenty more art and adventure ❤️
