A Childhood Friend Tease

Aw, dang it, I had a nice picture to show y'all but I spilt some paint on it. Oh well, I guess I'll show it to you anyways.

As previously stated, the work is completely done on the first character for the Childhood Friend game. I've used her alternate pose for this post, with her arms up, cheekily showing her triceps and armpits, if you happen to enjoy those things.

Her design went through a few changes since the first pitch in last November. She originally had long green hair in a ponytail and was super tall, but this was changed in favor of a girl that is about average height with a black bob cut with green highlights instead.

I think she is looking pretty good, and I am pretty excited about this project.

The original pitch had her named Naoko (or Naoko-chan since she is a close friend). Should I keep this name? It is supposed to mean something akin to 'honest girl / direct girl / pure girl' and I thought it fit her bullish but playful personality. Although she has some hangups and character flaws, as the game will show. You gotta have some drama, after all.

I still have two other 'main girls' to commission in this project, so don't worry too much if you are disappointed about details like her height or something, because the other girls will most likely check those boxes for you.
