Here is a second weekly update, one that I can set to 'Public' because it is safe, I hope.
In the same vein as the last update, I am still working on animating the two CG scenes for the two 'bad endings' with Jazmine and Hannah for The Bunny Girls game.
I've been looking around for a way to animate with bones and I found this neat little software called AnimeEffects. Think of Live2D but free and simpler.
It is abandonware (meaning its dev has given up on expanding on it and fixing its issues, since 2017) so it isn't 100% reliable. I do not think I would use it to animate an entire game, since it keeps bugging up on me if I try to push it too far, but I am finding a happy middle ground where I can use it to edit the artist's illustrations, exporting them and then animating them in the game software itself to give the scenes more life.
I do not have the time or resource to make beautifully animated scenes like some more pro-level games. Perhaps enventually, but since this is mostly a one-dev operation, this will have to do.
So, I thought you guys would get a kick to see a little bit of behind-the-scene stuff and see me play around with the AnimeEffects software. Also, a sneak peek at the grapevine scene with Jazmine. That girl is a heartbreaker. And legs-breaker, as it turns out.
Stay tuned for more progress. I am rushing to do the animations first so I can just focus on writing the scenes afterwards and push an update with both scenes in it.
