Bastion ran around the corner, trying to find a way to escape the facility. Come on, come on, there had to be a way out of here. . .!
“You can’t hide from me!” a voice boomed behind her. It was the demigod she had summoned, The Gambler, who was now after her. She had asked him to help with her life, but he wanted something in return. And it turned out that “something” was . . . to devour her whole! And so he had transported them both to this strange facility to suck her up, and now she was trying to escape.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck; oh my God!” Bastion gasped as she tried to keep running. The skulled fox crow was getting very, very tired now—and maybe there really was no way out of this. She turned another corner, trying to escape . . .
. . . and ran right into a dead end! The fox crow jumped in surprise and whirled around to escape the area, but saw that The Gambler was right behind her!
“Looks like there’s no way out for you now!” the deer demogod said triumphantly, marching towards her. “Let’s make things more interesting, shall we?”
Before her eyes, his head and body started to grow, expanding in size until it filled up the entire hallway! Then, he opened his maw wide, and began trying to eat her up.
It was incredible. One second, Bastion was standing on her own two feet, on solid ground; the next moment, a strong wind was rushing through the hallway, a sort of suction that The Gambler was emitting from his mouth She felt herself slipping, and the fox crow quickly reached out and grabbed onto the hallway railing, trying not to get pulled in. She felt like a windsock stuck in a tornado, and she did /not/ want to let go. If she did, she would get eaten by The Gambler, and then. . .!
No, no, she couldn’t think about that! Bastion forced herself to focus, tightening her grip on the rail. She was /not/ going to get devoured, that was for sure. She was going to hold on and get out of this . . . somehow! She would find a way, she was certain of it.
The vacuum suction of The Gambler’s mouth increased in its force, making Bastion cry out in surprise as her hand got wrenched from the rail. She quickly grabbed on again as the energy surrounded her body, an immense amount of force that almost overtook her, time and time again. . . She was very tempted to just let go, to just let the vacuum take her body and be eaten, because it was getting very hard to hold on. But she had to resist. . . She just had to! She couldn’t be eaten now! And so the fox crow forced herself to tighten her grip, trying very, very hard to not give in to the harrowing winds around her.
Then the force increased again, a sudden change that, this time, wrenched /both/ hands from the railing, and she felt herself falling backwards! The Gambler let out a triumphant laugh, and Bastion quickly felt for something to grab, anything that would break her fall! She found a chair in the middle of the hallway and wrapped her hands around its legs, squeezing her taloned fingers so tightly that her knuckles turned white. “Come . . . on. . .!” she gasped, trying her very best not to get pulled into The Gambler’s mouth.
“You know you can’t hold on forever, Bastion!” the demigod said triumphantly. “Sooner or later, you’ll let go, and then, you’ll be my food~!”
The fox crow tried her best to ignore him—she could to this, she thought; she could resist his vacuum pull! She gripped the chair tightly, trying hard not to get pulled inside of the terrible mouth of the deer. But the incredible force of the vacuum certainly was quite a thing to try and resist, and it threatened to overtake her at any second. Still she held on and tried her best not to let go.
But she could feel her hands slipping. As The Gambler’s winds blew around her, pulling her backwards, her taloned fingers began to let go, one by one. First her left pinky was blown free, then her ring finger. Not long after that, her middle finger and index finger were sucked loose. Finally her thumb was wrenched from the chair, and suddenly, her entire left hand was being blown backwards, free from holding onto the leg.
“Yes!” The Gambler shouted triumphantly. “Only one hand left to go, my dear Bastion. . . Then you’ll be all mine~!”
The fox crow shook her head and tried to reach her left hand back up, wanting to get it back to holding onto the chair. But the vacuum around her was too strong. . . She couldn’t move her hand back up thanks to the strong winds all around her! And her other hand was quickly joining it. . .!
She could feel the fingers of her right hand slipping, one by one. This time, it started with her thumb, prying it loose from the chair and making it wave in the air. Bastion quickly grabbed onto the chair with it once more, but it became free again, and her other fingers soon followed after it. Her index finger was pried out, then her middle finger, then her ring finger. “No. . . Come on. . .” Bastion begged herself, trying to hold on. But her pinky finger came loose.
Bastion let go of the chair and found herself falling backwards. “. . . NO!” the fox crow screamed, scrambling to grab onto something else, anything that would stop her from falling into The Gambler’s mouth. But there was nothing left for her to grab . . . and therefore, her fate was sealed.
She fell right into the deer demigod’s waiting maw, landing on his tongue with a loud /splat!/ For a moment, Bastion was dazed, but she quickly sat up and tried to run out of the mouth. The wind and suction had stopped, so now was her chance to get out of here!
But before she could escape, the maw closed, sealing her inside, and darkness surrounded her. “Oh, poor, poor Bastion,” The Gambler teased, chuckling. “You can’t escape now. . . Let’s get you down my throat, where you belong.
The suction started up again, and Bastion screamed in surprise. She was pulled to the back of The Gambler’s mouth, and a strong /gulp/ sent her down his throat.
The fox crow shivered as she was sent down to the stomach. It looked like this was the end. . .
__________
The Gambler grinned as he felt his food inside of him. “Mmm, you made for some good prey,” he teased Bastion, shrinking his body down. Soon he was back to normal size, and the fox crow filled up his belly nicely in this state. “Thanks for the snack!”
With that, he left the facility, in search of more people to trick and eat.
