Update December 6: Two things!
1) I've received word that Mike, Kevin, Bill, and Conor will be around at various points during the stream!
2) This movie does contain some disturbing content — one of the plot points (or whatever resembles a plot) involves a mass shooting inside a movie theater, and so I wanted to give some advance notice on that.
The "movie" (again, using the term loosely here) is so bizarre that it's really more head-scratching than anything, especially given the sensitive treatment of this topic that only a terrible "filmmaker" could bring. Hopefully the presence of Eric Roberts (A Talking Cat!?!) and Martin Kove (Karate Kid, Cobra Kai) will help. It's still one of the most insane Christmas things ever, so I hope you'll join us!

Greetings, dearest Traxians!
I am pleased as Punch (of Punch and Judy fame) to reawaken the Turkeys from their long slumber!
I'm colloquially referring to it as RETURN OF THE TURKEY, and I have some amazing artwork coming soon to coincide with it which could end up on the next round of Patreon merch. My goal is to do one of these Turkey Thursday a month, at least, and with the occasional special guest(s) joining us.
I ALSO want to do more "watchalongs" of bad movies that we haven't riffed, and that we might not ever be able to, in order to give you and I the chance to roast them properly — and just have a good time together doing so. Or at least, that's the idea, and I think this first one as a bit of a trial run, to see how it goes.
So, what do you say? To get you all into the holiday spirit, please join me on Thursday, December 7th at 3:30pm Pacific (6:30pm Eastern) for a movie that looks like something we would riff, and maybe - if we're lucky - we will someday: A Karate Christmas Miracle. Plot synopsis: a young boy whose father mysteriously vanishes believes the only way to bring him back is to earn his black belt in Karate.

It's free on YouTube, which is how we're going to watch it - and while you can also find the trailer on YouTube, I assure you, you're really going to want to go in cold for this one.
Click this link to join The Traxian Room on Scener when the time comes. For those of you who are new to this, or just need a refresher, Scener requires the Google Chrome browser, and the free Scener extension. (It may work with other Chrome-based browsers like Edge, but YMMV.)
When the showtime arrives, I'll launch the Live feed, and you'll be brought automatically into the Scener theater. At that point, I will basically take over the video playback from my end. You'll see my video, a chat box, and the video player all at once in separate windows, like this:

Note that sometimes it plays funky with dual-screen setups, so bear that in mind if that describes you. I'll also be around in the Patreon Discord during the event to help troubleshoot any issues with playback. (I always recommend closing any other apps, browser tabs or windows that are also running, and using a desktop browser since mobile experiences for Scener have not been great.)
I hope you're as excited as I am to get back into some of these Turkeys! See you then!
- Erik
EDIT: Thanks to the couple dozen of you who joined me for tonight's impromptu "technical test" of the Scener system. Everything worked as smoothly as ever. See you next week!
