^^that said, I hear you. We may have differing views, but I appreciate you & your willingness to call me out if you think Iβm off. Iβve reflected on this one quite a lot as itβs one of the most controversial opinions I have in the series that I get the most pushback on. I donβt mean to seem inflexible!

It actually has less to do with feminism to me than imbalance of power based on wealth and life station. Iβm sorry you donβt see it that way, but one of the primary themes GRRM examines is about exactly that - the few go to war with each other, and the lowborn starve, die, or are tortured. Here, we see something similar played out. I do understand Tyrionβs motivation, but I analyze it by stepping into what I imagine to be Shaeβs experience. but I strongly disagree that dissecting this critically in a way that centers Shae rather than Tyrion does anything to weaken the cause.

Ehh, he tried to reason with her multiple times and she refused to listen. He's trying to save her life and she has just been so flippant about it, it's infuriating. It's not about some feminist ideology (I'm a feminist btw), it was about Tyrion literally saving the life of a loved one who was actively putting themselves in mortal danger. I think you're really reaching in order to fit a feminist narrative, which ultimately weakens the cause in the long run.

You have no idea how refreshing it is that you empathize first with Shae in that scene. I think weβre so conditioned to prioritize the goals of men, in entertainment and life, that reactors who feel for - and arenβt simply frustrated with - her are rare. Personally, I understand Tyrionβs concern, but his high-handedness in trying to force her to do what he wants bothers me. Itβs so privileged! She already has little agency as a result of her occupation, and heβs using his privilege to take away what power she has over her own life. That sucks so hard.

They did such a great job of creating in viewers increasing amounts of hatred for Joffrey during the episode that the climax was *Italian chef kiss*. Also, the godswood is the wooded area in the castle grounds used for worship that is centered around a weirwood tree, which is the tree with the carved face. Weirwood trees have mostly been cut down or burned down outside of the North.

Babe it's super fitting that on YouTube you posted the Red Wedding, and on here you posted the Purple Wedding! A much better affair in my opinion! <3
