*While creating the graphic for this poll, something struck me and I want to make it explicitly clear: Machine Man is hear for being one of the breakout characters in Warren Ellis' Nextwave where he was largely written with an entirely new personality. I thought that was enough of a distinction for him to represent Ellis, and his inclusion should in no way reflect poorly on Jack Kirby, his true, original creator, who was, as far as I know, an unstoppable badass and an all around good guy.
