September Poll Winner: Arya Stark
Added 2019-10-01 00:02:00 +0000 UTCAh, Game of Thrones. It breaks my heart the way you ended, and not in the way I think you meant for it to. I actually had a bit of an existential moment while working on this, realizing I was putting a lot of work into recreating a scene that, well, I didn't hate the scene itself, I guess, but the anti-climatic ending that it kind of represents. I chose it because, despite the steaming dump it took on the whole Long Night plotline, it's still a pretty dynamic moment and I had a strong image in my mind of how I wanted to do it. Still, I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a part of me that, in hindsight, regrets not doing something closer to my heart, like the "Not Today" scene.
