Added 2025-03-02 14:17:42 +0000 UTCIt's male Romanus time at the fitting!
For male attire, I didn't fix so much in 12th-century accurate outfits because, if I'm quite honest, they were either armor or extremely ugly.๐
Men of the station sometimes wore ceremonial armor, or bits and parts of it, to events, but, this ball in particular, no one is allowed except the Theers themselves.
This means our Romanus will have two options:
A more simple, clean outfit with more down-to-earth colors and straight lines. This will help you blend in easily with the other attendees and avoid insulting the high nobles. You won't have as many eyes on you, but that may be a good thing in a mission where you're trying to breach into private chambers.
I call it 'simple,' but they are still very, very expensive garments! Romanus won't ever have been anywhere near those types of clothes, much less wear them โ it's only simple when compared with high and powerful nobles.
The other choice is an ostentatious, rich style with bright colors, intricate patterns, and heavy cloaks. This one will draw eyes to you and admiration from the minor houses and wealthy merchants, but to the high borns, you will appear to be reaching above your station โ an insult if you go as a Florenza, a minor noble, and downright insulting if you go as a mercenary.
The options for the 'simpler' outfits are thus:
While the more ostentatious are (option 2 would be dark blue or green tones):
Please vote for your favorite in both categories! ๐

Sorry about the repeat post! I forgot to click for multiple choice the first time, and when I tried to fix it, the poll was crashing out. ๐ญ

2025-03-02 18:01:20 +0000 UTCAHH this was so hard honestly, i picked simple 1 because i love the sash and the lack of buttons (like in 3) helps with the nondescript look (though it was between 1 and 3, both fits go hard). and for the ostentatious as much as i hate joffrey that outfit slays ๐ญ i love the deep maroon color under the fancy gilding and idk why but i like that the sleeves are the same length as the tunic, something about it make brain feel good (my sarcastic Romanus would also be soooo bombastic in this fit, poor Alessa)

2025-03-02 15:40:13 +0000 UTCJust going to repeat my previous comment that i like simple#1 alot, i think its the high collar that makes it for me. I enjoy the sash too ofc For the fancy ones i think maybe ostentatious#1 for the belt over the coat look.

2025-03-02 14:34:04 +0000 UTCGoing to be a hard decision both in and out of character either way but at least my Romanus will be forced to put his tits away for once

2025-03-02 14:22:37 +0000 UTCI really like simple 1 and 3. I voted for one because I think my Romanus in particular would like the dramatic sweep of the sash. And ostentatious 2 is just chefs kiss. So good. My Romanus would look so hot in that. Alain would be overcome with lust.
