Maybe if she knew that her son would loathe her, she would’ve ran with him. A pipe dream, but a nice one

To his younger self: "Listen up kid, I'm going to teach ya and you best listen. First off, you better get real good with that bow of yours. There'll come a time where it ain't deer you're shooting at. Second, that thing Sancha told ya, about keeping your heart soft? It's not that simple. Only soften your heart when you're alone, or with those you trust. Otherwise, keep it hard. This world can and will break you if you let it. Lastly....cherish the time you have with your mother. She's mortal, just like you. Oh, and for God's sake expand your vocabulary! You're going to fall in love with a woman who has a really big one, and you won't know what the hell she's saying half the time. To his mother: Imma tell it to ya straight. You're a fucking coward. Forcing me to leave you will be the biggest mistake of both our lives. Sometimes I wish you'd just taken your own life instead of staying behind, cause at least I'd know. ....But you didn't. Never stop looking for them." What he'd tell his mother - "I understand why you chose to stay behind now. I have someone who I'd die to protect." Alessa's icy gaze flashes in his mind. "But I would also give anything to stay with her... I hope the same was true for you. Artesia, Hunter Background, Pious, Low Lore: What she'd tell herself - "Remember what Sancha told you, keep that heart soft. This world is scary and dangerous, but it will only crush your spirit if you let it. You're stronger than you realize." Their name is..." Regarding who is spoken of by my Romanuses, that person is either Hadrian or Alessa - until they can get to know the other ROs more intimately!

(Merchant!Background) - first flashback (so like five/six years old?) - "Never stop trying to save what makes you feel." second flashback (age 12/13?) - "You'll always miss her, but you'll also always love her." edit: for mother - what they want to say: "We should have never come here." what they need to say - "I needed more than you."
