Hi everyone!

First I'd like to thank you all for the ongoing support whether you're staying another month here in May or taking a break. I appreciate it greatly and will likely be sharing another post after this into more of my plans for this week. I wanted to use this post to share another update reminded you all about Patreon's pricing through the Apple App Store, and how these things affect the Patreon creators. (it's annoying)

As I've mentioned previously, if you’re pledging through the Patreon iPhone/iPad app, Apple adds an extra fee (up to 30%) to your membership cost. But there’s a workaround: If you sign up or manage your pledge through a web browser (like Safari or Chrome), you’ll avoid those extra charges. This way, 100% of your support goes directly to the creator you're supporting (and you save money).

Here's the slightly more annoying issue: Patreon also places a 75 day hold on all earnings through the Apple App Store. A lot of people have been joining through our watch of Weak Hero Class S2 which I'm grateful for, but a lot of those have been through iOS which means that's all locked for over 2 months and scattered across different dates. It also appears that through pausing and coming back, people have swapped to the iOS billing as well and it's made for things to be a bit harder to cover bills/expenses on time. That first of the month comes around for everybody and this change makes handling that a bit weirder. As a somewhat smaller Patreon creator I feel these changes a bit more directly with fluctuations so I wanted to share again for people to know what these changes mean.

No pressure! I know these things could be a hassle to change, so don't feel obligated to swap out if it's not convenient for you. I just wanted to let you guys know and be transparent.
