Progress Report

We dip our toes in the calm, still waters of yet another fresh year. 

I hope you all had an amazing time on New Year! And that these first, tentative January days have been as mild as a gentle breeze. The sun rises cold, and night eats too much of the day,  but still, it's hard not to feel optimistic, isn't it? There's something about beginnings — or, I suppose, ends — that has a way of inspiring you. 

May 2023 be better than the year before, in whatever aspect you want it to be. ♡

Now for the game: I'm terribly sorry for being so silent this past week — life has been hectic! But, as of yesterday, all of my visiting family have left for their own lives, and so mine has settled back on its axis. I'm back on my normal routine, and I took advantage of it today! I spent the whole afternoon continuing to put Chapter One into choicescript and reached the middle of the Word document! So, about 70k words are playable 😄. 

I forgot how much the coding lines inflate the word count! The goal for next week is to be as close to finishing coding as possible. 

Other than that, I'm also late to the Patreon content for this month, but that's what the weekends are for. Since you guys submitted many more questions for the Q&A than I was expecting, I'm going to extend it to this month's Bonus Content and answer all the unanswered questions. The same goes for the Spicy Q&A — if your question wasn't answered last month, it'll be on this one! 

The amazingly talented artist I commissioned for this month's art piece informed me that she'll need more time to finish it. I'm still optimistic it'll be ready in January but if not, you needn't worry — I just got the finished art of another commission, and it looks so good. 😭 I'm trying to alternate between a female character and a male character for the art posts but if the first commission isn't ready on time, I'll have to break the pattern. Hopefully, you won't mind it^^

Again, very sorry for the lack of activity. I'll be active again from now on. I have big plans for 2023! It's amazing how much the Rose has grown in meaning in my life — I realized just how much when my biggest New Year's resolution centered around it. 

After the relentless rain, we've been having a very mild winter. The sun shines bright in the afternoon, and the nights, while dark, don't carry that type of chill that reaches your bones. I'm not sure if I'm grateful for it or if I miss the harsher teeth of winter, but regardless of taste, I'll be here coming next Friday. Hopefully bearing great news.
