i listened to all the blackpink solos (one after the other on an hours long drive) and ruby is by far my favorite. i liked all of the other 3 projects but ruby is the only one i’ve been replaying. as of rn i’m basically keeping tracks 1-5 on repeat since i had already been looping the pre-releases. #1-9 are my faves, i enjoy #10-#15, especially f.t.s. and twin but for now still listening to #1 thru #9 until i get tired of them 🙂↕️ you singing one direction’s song repeatedly and not knowing what it was had me cracking up tho 😭 i think jennie’s features were perfect for the album. lisa’s features were okay in terms of how the collab actually sounded but i basically preferred her solo versions for all. the collabs w/rosalia & raye/doja were top tier tho!!

2025-03-24 23:05:01 +0000 UTCI loved Rosie album its my favorite, I have it all day on repeat, 3 am, gameboy, too bad for us and stay a little longer are my favorite and this Jennie album its so good love hangover, Zen, way up and xtraL are my favorites, Jisoo mini album its a vibe and definitly on repeat for me Your love and Hugs and kisses , Lisa I like FUTW vixi version, New Woman, Rapunzel kiki solo and Chill are my favorites Right now I cant imagine what a BlackPink comeback will sound like but im so exited after all their solos

I liked that one as well but it was something in the production and lyrics maybe that seemed a little lack luster. Besides previous releases I would say handlebars, with the IE, and filter is my top three.

Ruby and Roses for Rosie hit very differnt lyric wise for me, while Lisa and Jisoo's were more hype and vibing. For the physical version of the album, all the songs are gonna be Jennie only I believe, so I'm kinda excited to see the difference between the song with the features and without.

2025-03-09 18:37:53 +0000 UTCthis has to be my favorite solo project. there was only one song on this album that i didn’t add to my playlist, everything else i loved. this album was so jennie and i feel like it had such good direction and everything flowed so well together. my favorites by far are twin, start a war, with the ie and starlight. for a little background twin was made about jennie’s best friend that she knew since she was in school, named chahee. they used post so often especially on the beach as jennie said in this song. i really do hope they rekindle their friendship bcs it seemed so beautiful and genuine ):

2025-03-09 18:37:02 +0000 UTCyeah you were thinking Night Changes by 1D, but there's also the prechorus of APT (the "don't you want me like i want you, baby?" part).... or the dozens of other songs that use that TIREEEEDD melody lmao. i thought of White Mercedes - Charli XCX. i liked all the prereleases, but i'm very underwhelmed by the rest of the album 🫤 with the IE is the only new song i liked & maybe start a war, since the overused melody is catchy nevertheless lol i think i liked rose's album overall the most, but it's confusing because i liked the title tracks from jennie more than anything from rose's album, while jennie's ALBUM was underwhelming. lisa's album.... i dislike (except new woman), which is why i've kept those opinions to myself lmao. haven't heard jisoo's yet.

That might be a weird piece of praise but it's the thing that can throw me off the most in a otherwise well-produced song is when it just feels like the performance is "trying too hard". I was really relieved that I didn't feel any of that here not that I expected to. She definitely made great use of the producers and features here. I believe on the physical version of this album she has the solo versions of all the featured songs as well which I'm interested in hearing. In her live performance of Love Hangover she had a whole other verse so I do want to hear what else is missing from the streaming versions. I think that was my favorite showcase here and is her vocals by far. I'm just so happy we actually get to hear her sing. I do disagree in terms of the lyrics though. I think that's probably the bigger differentiator between Lisa and Jennie's projects here. I thought the lyricism was a lot stronger. Not necessarily that the subject matter was always deeper but there are more clever references for me. I also think it helped that there were was a mix of more flashy songs and a few extra slower or emotional songs. This album is almost a mid-balance in feel between Lisa and Rosé for me. That's why I can probably say it's my favorite of the BP solo projects. absolutely I think you will get a beautiful vibe from rosé's album. I think it's undoubtedly the best written of them all but I can also say I don't go back to all of those songs as frequently as I do to some of these already. I see what you were trying to do in terms of putting together a story for the album but I don't really think it's a 'story' album like that. I think it's containing all the different stories that she probably hasn't been able to tell while under YG but I don't necessarily see the tracks as thematically connected. Which may be a good or bad thing. I think in k-pop where you used to albums having a concept and therefore a theme that follows through to the tracks but I haven't felt like the album was disjointed even though the song can be about different things.

I think my top 3 outside of the previous releases are with the IE, start a war and filter but to be honest the whole album has been growing on me the more I listen. I'd still be interested in seeing you react to Jisoo an Rosé's projects though, Jisoo's especially.

Now I do remember me saying dang she singing alot 😂 not that I disliked it I was expected a bit more rapping overall but u know now days rappers feel like they have to sing and vise versa. She did good on that Jennie from the block sample tho with the IE👏
