2024-09-14 17:44:29 +0000 UTCimma be real, the CC captions are unlikely to bother you or be noticeable if you don’t know korean. it’s just that the captions are often not true to the dialogue on the show. so you i recommend using the CC until you’re more comfortable with the names and then switching, like you said! do whatever you need. it’s just a kdrama at the end of the day lol

After a few episodes you won't need the names in the captions anymore. If you still want the names you can always have a separate page open about the characters and the names and look them up quickly if your are confused

2024-09-14 09:08:02 +0000 UTCNames are confusing, I get you lol Dang Gu is a person where as Danju is a secret organization of rebels that ppl don't know about. The Danju leader is Jin Mu who conceals his identity especially with Naksu. Naksu doesn't know how he looks but know that he took her in when she was young and trained her to be an assassin and part of the Danju. She thinks or thought the Danju is on her side but they only care to use her otherwise they'll get rid of her (also to prevent her from exposing Danju, etc). Now Jin Mu is an assistant to the Gwangju, which is Jang Gang. He's assuming his position temporarily because after Jang Gang closed the gate of energy of his son Jang Uk, he left to "train" but really just disappeared. A Gwangju is someone who aids the royal family with spells. They must always learn new magic, train to be the best, be the advisor, and protect the royal family. That's why Jang Gang had to soul shift in episode one against his will because the King commanded him to. People are not to suspect Jin Mu, the assistant Gwangju, as he has a trustworthy role and was trained by Jang Gang. His identity isnt directly known by all the Danju members and ppl don't really know of Danju's existence especially since there shouldn't be any soul shifting occuring as it's forbidden sorcery. Also the current king is not the old king. The king in EP. 1 died. This current king is his brother. Edit: Naksu wanted him to be the lake for her so that he can use his powers to help her gain her powers back which is funny because she's to help him get his powers. It's a loop lol Anyways, sorry for this long comment 😭
