and I completely know how you feel abt watching stuff like this and then feeling bad abt the fact that as a kpop fan, we also are endorsing it or contributing to this toxic industry at the same time. I honestly go through so many periods of guilt when I consume kpop, it’s like a crazy cognitive dissonance bc I hate the toxic and harmful aspects of it but the good parts also make me really happy. that’s why I just try to be a good person or consumer ig in the sense that I treat/acknowledge these idols as humans and respect them the same that I would respect anyone else. especially when interacting with them too, I always ask myself how I would feel if someone did/said this to me etc. at the end of the day we’re still investing in the messed up system tho which sucks :/ i like that you brought that up bc I’ve been feeling it even more than usual lately

i agree w you, i love when idols make this more human content or when they feel comfortable to talk about the realities and difficulties of their job. it’s definitely not easy to be vulnerable though, especially in this kind of industry where people attack anything perceived as a weakness or flaw. so I do also understand why some idols are hesitant to show that stuff. clips from this ep were uploaded on tiktok and the comments were filled with ppl criticizing sakura even more, saying that she shouldn’t have chosen this career if she can’t do her job etc. idk maybe im just biased because she is much bias and her personality/sincerity is why she’s one of the few celebs that i view as a role model, but it makes me so sad that she can’t share parts of herself that makes her human without being criticized. and same with how the media treats other celebs as well. okay rant over lol glad ur still checking these out even tho it gets heavy
