The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 11/Oct/2024

It was weird having a week of writing other things except Book Four, but it was great fun to write the scenes I have!

I managed to get all the social media content finished like I’d hoped for the next couple of months, which means it’s full steam ahead for Book Four without interruption! That’ll be amazing to just be able to blast through without stopping to do something else.

I did wonder if it would bleed into the weekend, as Nai mentioned, I had a bit of an upset with one of my rabbits mid-week, but he’s finally on the mend! And I managed to get caught back up working some extra, so that was nice to get back on track after that! (Thank you so much for the lovely comments wishing him better <3)

Because I had more time to get stuck in, I finally got to write a couple of scenarios (the November Unseen Scene particularly!) I’ve been wanting to do for aggggges! That was SO much fun to get out of my head finally, lol.

And the Autumnal Scenarios were incredibly lovely and cosy to write, getting me right into the autumn vibes! Hope they can do the same for you this month! <3

Part of the reason I wanted to get the social media done was because I had an idea for something awesome for the winter special on Patreon, but now I’m not so sure. It would have to be done through Ren’Py, as it’s the only programme that’ll work for what I want to do, but I remembered that not everyone can get Ren’Py games working, and I don’t want to offer a Patreon special that some of you can’t access!

So, I’m looking into possible alternatives, but I’m not sure on that yet.

But, even so, it still means I have a couple of months now spread before me of just writing…and that is an amazing feeling! I’m already so eager to just jump in and get rolling and rolling and rolling on that, hehe! :D

For Update+ this week, I’ve been reading over what I’ve written for the next chapter in prep to dive back into it and thought this was a fun little M moment from one of the choices you can pick…

My body tenses tight enough it makes my limbs ache, and my hands clench to the point I can feel my nail bite into my palms.

"Didn't I literally say not to freak out?" Mason/Morgan groans, rolling his/her eyes and stepping closer. "Come on. The quicker we get this done, the quicker I can get out from under all of this."                       

I nod slowly. "Right. Yeah."
