Every year, the Pfatter U Film Studies department holds their esteemed Pfatter Pfilm Pfestival, featuring the best work from their most talented film students.

The Pfestival’s theme for 2025 was “Expand Your Horizons,” and as you’ll see, the finalists’ work really exemplifies what it means to truly transform.

Grow Lamp (second runner-up): a genie promises to fulfill a college baseball player’s dreams of playing in the big leagues, but will his grand aspirations lead to even bigger consequences?

Making Weight (first-runner up): a college wrestling coach aspires to move his entire roster into the heavyweight division, with help from a very special new scale.

The Big House (first prize): in the not-so-distant future, the prison population is rapidly expanding as one warden goes to extreme measures to keep the inmates from escaping.
