AIR Lore

Since there are no Chapters this week, I'm doing a lore dump instead. I plan to incorporate these things into the main story along with many other ideas. I post these mainly on discord, but I will add them here as well for Patrons to enjoy.

Chapters Monday.

The Speakers of the Corruption

This is a celestial clan of the celestial sect of corruption. They're usually identified by the constant presence of their tongue. It is often times too large for their mouths, almost looking like a piece of hanging meat dribbling from their jaws. They are comprised of all for primordial species and any new ones. Though they do have a tough time corrupting insects into their way. When fighting their techniques tend to create horrifying noise, which can only be described as corruption. It rips away at the knowledge and understanding that any cultivator has. A person's dao or laws threatened by this noise, and long-term exposure ensures insanity, breaking, or in the merciful cases death. The downside for the speakers is that their tongue seems to grow as they use more of their technique. Eventually their jaws are strained, and their organs are disrupted just to maintain their tongue and language. The ideal cultivation path with this technique would be one filled with idle amounts of rest in between usages of this technique. Over time the speakers can recuperate and undo the effects that the technique has on them.

Once the tongue overwhelmes them, there's skin will burst and only a large tongue will remain. This is a very valuable material within the cultivation world. Since oftentimes it contains eons of cultivated corruption and chaos, it is ideal material for all types of crafting.

The Primordial Cult

The Primordial Cult is a group that believes that the true path to cultivation lies within embracing the nature of all four primordials. They are located within the law lands, somewhere between the shrine of all four primordials and are very active in each of their churches. Oftentimes they look like a blend of all four primordials, having characteristics of plant insect man and beast. There are generally platonic to most beings, and very pleasant to The Fey. But they have the highest distain for anything they do not of the four. They despise sentient objects as well as elementals and elderitch beings. A lot of God Imperiums have risen that are not of the four primordials and they and their followers have been deemed horrible enemies of the cult. They do not concern themselves with good or evil, but rather with nature and what is.

The Pacts of Life

The first and second pacts of life managed to affect every God Imperium to have ever been. But strangely enough there many more pacts. The colloquial term for these pacts are pantheons. Pantheons serve as lesser pacts, allowing the gods within that pantheon to interact with one another and even kill each other. The reasons as to why anyone would enter such a relationship is both known and unknown. Many God Imperium speculate that only through challenging what another can they reach the unprovable 18th realm. Others join pantheons for power, and others were raised up within them before they became a God Imperium. There have been many cases where power shifts within that Pantheon, for example when Kronos cut up his father Uranus, or when Zeus caught up his own father Kronos. This has happened in numerous pantheons. Pantheon's overall are known for their weights and power.

Arthur and Lancelot

In the case of King Arthur and King Lancelot, they were in the Pantheon known as the round table, which was established when they were both of the 16th realm. Arthur ascended into the 17th realm first and ruled over there celestial imperial realm known as Camelot. After Lancelot reached God Imperium He managed to seduce Arthur's wife, who was also Aphrodite's daughter, known as Guinevere. Eventually, every member of the round table agreed to disband the pantheon. Now Arthur and Lancelot fight, but since they are no longer bound by a pantheon, they are less able to kill one another.

You can often see them in the Sea of Death, constantly clashing, constantly neutral.

They can still kill each other, though they would have to do it within the second pact of life. And it would require a higher level of effort to truly attempt death of an imperium within the second pact.

Lancelot reformed the Pantheon and King Arthur made a new Pantheon known as Avalon, a place between the cosmic forest and the sea of death.
