Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: Episode 6 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Yes, Gege loves to make things complicated, doesn’t he?! I’m glad we got a good explanation as well! Poor him getting exploited for fan service, but we are going to be respectful about it! 😀 MAPPA has really been animating things so well, though, too, I agree! I wanted to hug Yuuji so badly – it’s really sad that he doesn’t see value in himself outside of being a vessel for Sukuna and exorcising curses. That’s a really interesting note about Nanami’s philosophy that Yuuji is adopting! Oof, I hadn’t thought of that but it’s a great point to bring up. I just love Kirara and Hakari so much as a couple! Give me more of them throughout the whole series, please. And Zoro’s VA?! NICE! Thank you for the comment!

You know what? I appreciated the heck out Megumi explaining Kirara's technique, because Gege sure knows how to make them complicated. That shot of Megumi's abs was completely unnecessary... but you won't see me complaining xD MAPPA really has been animating the heck out of this season, and even I, someone who generally doesn't much care for the fights, have been having a ton fun with them. The fight between Yuuji and Hakari, on the other hand, was so sad. I just wanted to hug Yuuji. The fact that he feels just like a cog in the machine is so sad, because he has so much value and isn't just a thing more. And yet, I can't help of thinking of how this is, to a degree, Nanami's own ideology that Yuuji is adopting now. Nanami hated Jujutsu society - he quit it for a little while there - and while I totally believe that he was been a sorcerer because he wanted to help others is a factor, I also think that Nanami just thought that things would just go on after his own death because that's what he saw over and over again, in jujutsu society (with Haibara, with Gojo and Geto, with countless others, I'm sure); and is, also what he shows Yuuji in his final moments, that they're there to continue the work, and once your time comes you pass the mantle to the next one and the machine goes on, without care of who is the cog making it work. Kirara and Hakari are the cutest in a very aggressive way that I can't stop watching xD Fun fact, Hakari's VA is Zoro's VA. That's so cool.

I need Gege to have the courage to make Plushie Naoya a thing! XD ;) I will never unsee Panda as Daru in a furry suit now, so that’s fun! WAIT – HE IS KOGAMI’S VA TOO. WHAT. NO. HOW?! My mind is blown and I need a moment to process this information. I love Kirara and Hakari and how Panda, Megumi, and Yuuji worked to win them over this episode! Seriously, it IS hard to believe that Gojo could be defeated – the power of “love,” eh? *laughs and then cries into KFC bucket* PANDA ASS SHOT. Do it for the furries, y’all. That’s a fair question with Kirara and the “placement” - I’d like to think it’s down to fate, maybe? But I do agree that Kirara can at this point do no wrong for me, either! And a doggy lover - we stan her completely! Megumi was showing how clever he was and I was all here for it! Oohh, the connection to Haikyuu with Cog - that’s so true! YES! But yes, way for Gege to make it heartbreaking with Yuuji’s view of himself in the “system.” :’) And yes, Enoki Junya is doing phenomenal in the range that Yuuji’s character goes through in this series so far! OH! That is VERY interesting with Kirara – we stan trans representation! <3 I love how well of a couple these two are - Kirara and Hakari are just so good together! YES, Miyagi from Slam Dunk! The past version of him and also I can totally see the Yaga in that hairstyle as well – RIP! *sniffles* Oohhhh, I had forgotten that was a similar bridge Todo was at back in S1 – good catch! Yeah, him already having 200 points is WILD. Yikes. I don’t think he’d kill non-jujutsu sorcerers based on his personality, so at LEAST there’s that, but still….yikes. Oohhh, okay, no, the shipper brain is on point with Kashimo being “obsessed” with Sukuna - maybe like a “dark Goku” kind of thing – okay, and with Sukuna having a “Vegeta” like personality in that instance – ANNIE YOU HAVE ME SHIPPING NOW! And the Kise x Aomine comparisons?! Now….Y’all….Hahahaha! AHAHAHAHA – oh noooo, I am not going to try and look remotely like a particular bigoted group in my country with the sheet over my head – but I do have an idea for Tengen cosplay that’s out of the box! We shall see! Thank you for the comment and kind words!

Thank you so much for the support and I’m so happy you’ve been enjoying the reactions and discussions! 😀Yesss, anime only folks unite! I had the EXACT same worry as you about Kirara and Hakari! Agreeing 100% about how Hakari trusts Kirara and how they take care of each other! :3 Ooh, and I like that note about how she left to be with him, despite how she perhaps was an “acceptable” sorcerer by the higher up’s standards. I agree, her technique is really cool and I love how complex Gege made it! And YUUJIIIII, our Boy! I agree - Season 2 has left our poor bean a broken man, and it’s very realistic, but it’s interesting to see how him getting beaten down also allows others around him to step up to support him, like Megumi and heck, even Hakarin in this episode! Thank you so much for the comment and sharing your thoughts! I really loved hearing them!

Romaniablack

Ooohhhh, these are all VERY GOOD questions! I'm going to have to think about that for the Episode 7 intro! Thank you for asking and the comment!

Romaniablack

It makes me question the questioning honestly. Like, let’s just imagine for a second it was Toji that did that?! I don’t think those moral guardians question’ing Maki would have done the same with Toji.. I ve rarely read people attacking Sukuna for killing thousands in Shibuya .. oh no! Apparently he was cool!! And a 16 yrs old with a life of abuse, a dead twin and a trash clan getting rid of the bad weed!?? Shocking.. morally questionable 🙄🙄🙄 I hate double standards 😤

First time commenter but I've been watching your stuff for awhile!! As an anime only, I've been having a lot of fun watching your reactions to this season because I love comparing my theories to yours! To add onto the discussion of Hakari trusting Kirara, I really like how they approached their relationship. I was super worried that it'd be a "meathead and someone who fixes all the problems he causes" sort of dynamic, but that doesn't seem to be the case at all. I especially like in episode 5 when Hakari says; "Continue to be vigilant, I'll send Kirara for extra security later." as it really sets up how he can trust Kirara to handle business without him needing to step in and oversee it. Then in this episode I found it really cute that she said; "Kin-chan's in danger!" just because I looked at Hakari and thought "No actually I think he's just fine." LOL I think it's a really endearing sign of loyalty that Kirara left Jujutsu High with him. She mentions that the higher ups didn't like HIS technique and made no mention of her own. It made me wonder, do you think that they were actually okay with her power despite it's complexity? It doesn't seem to be mixed with technology (at least from what we've seen), which seems to be their biggest gripe. I do agree with the fact that they seem to prefer 'simpler' techniques though. Still, Kirara's obviously seems like something super useful to have on hand, so I can also see them begrudgingly accepting the complexity that comes with it. I just find her technique SO interesting - it's definitely at it's best as a defensive measure, but it has the potential for combat. I mean...trying to figure out her technique on the fly while having to dodge cars or whatever else she magnetizes to you wouldn't be easy - she just had the misfortune of ending up against the duo that could piece it together quick enough! Also, can I just say that I love how they're handling Yuji's character this season? I really like how you can tell how the events of season 2 have left their mark on him. It breaks my heart to see him so beaten down, but they also haven't overdone it, if that makes sense?

In regard to some of the comments before the reaction, about Maki, Mai, et al., there are a lot of people comparing Maki and Itachi from Naruto, who left no Uchiha alive except for Sasuke. However, it's more grey for Maki, in that, her mother aside, you can rationalize her killing as immediate and anticipatory self-defense. Is it fair to the clan members who were "just following orders"? Maybe, maybe not. But it is in no way comparable to Itachi's or Eren's actions in their respective stories. And to judge her more harshly for it is questionable.

Plushie Naoya!!! 🤣 I love it! Yes, Panda's seiyuu [Seki Tomokazu] is Daru from Steins;Gate. Voice actor trivia that might surprise you though is that he is also the voice of Kougami from Psycho Pass 😂 I love that it takes some convincing from Panda and Fushiguro to gain Kirara's trust. Kirara and Hakari seem to be pretty out of the loop with jujutsu society so it's understandable they don't have details about what went down in Shibuya. For them Gojo was a teacher at their school who is known throughout jujutsu society, and is "the strongest". I loved Kirara thinking they were talking bull when Fushiguro told her Gojo had been sealed. Without context of lost love connections being brutally used beyond the grave it would be hard to believe anyone could get the drop on Gojo 🤣 Technically got fanservice on two fronts this episode: that ab shot with Fushiguro, and the ass shot for Panda 😆 But I need to know if Kirara chooses the place her curse technique marks, or if it's just down to Fate? Either way Kirara or Fate choosing those specific places to mark like a tattoo is making me giggle a little. Both are a little on the risqué side for placement (considering Panda's is on his ass and Fushiguro's is pretty much on his Adonis belt). Loved Kirara from her introduction last episode but this episode cemented her as a character who can do no wrong for me. And most of that is down to one reason: Kirara called Fushiguro's Totality demon dog "doggy" as it came at her 🥺😂 Fushiguro was really showing off his smarts this episode. Especially with how quick he was able to come up with an effective plan. When I saw this episode was called "Cog" I admit all I could think of was the training arc in Haikyuu!! with Karasuno each strengthening themselves individually so that they could all work together 🥺 I was NOT prepared for Akutami's take on the idea of being a "cog" and the way Itadori talks about himself as if he's not important, so long as he keeps doing his role 😭 Enoki Junya really did a fantastic job of making us feel Itadori's feelings in such an understated way 😍 Yes, Kirara is another third year student from the Tokyo school. In 3x05 there was a tiny scene that told us this. When Panda and Fushiguro were discussing the situation with Hakari, Panda mentioned Kirara. In response Fushiguro asked "But the other third-year was a guy, right?" and Panda confirmed this [they specifically use the term "otoko" in Japanese which translates as man/male/guy]. When I was watching Episode 5 I wondered if Fushiguro asked this question because the name Kirara is more predominately a female name I believe (similar to his own name Megumi). But given Kirara's looks and way of speaking are rather female-presenting this question could be Akutami's way of introducing Kirara as a trans character to the viewers who have seen what Kirara looks like and how she speaks to Hakari. Agreed that the moment Kirara silently understood Hakari had already agreed really cemented them as a couple for me. And they're a couple who know and understand each other so well 🥺🥰 Hakari's hairstyle from when he was still at Jujutsu High does remind me of Miyagi from Slam Dunk! But he also reminds me a little of Yaga in that image. The bridge where we first meet Kashimo actually made me think of a different meeting: back in Season 1 when we saw little kid Todo meeting Tsukumo for the first time. It reminds me a lot of the place he was pummelling the other kid at. I can definitely say I am intrigued but also somewhat terrified considering Kashimo's already managed to accumulate 200 points. I agree that with what we've seen of Kashimo's personality so far that I think he accumulated those points by killing jujutsu sorcerers. We can infer with the recent deceased being worth five points that this opponent was a jujutsu sorcerer. And if Kashimo considers the one he just killed to be weak/no challenge then I very much doubt he'd target non-jujutsu sorcerers just to rack up the points. So we differ a little with the Sukuna and Kashimo thing 🤣 Not ruling out enemies to lovers but also considering possibility of some kind of obsession, but my shipper brain definitely perked up with Kashimo's mention of Sukuna. Now a big part of my shipper heart immediately opening to the possibility of Sukuna/Kashimo is mainly because of the seiyuu 😂 Kashimo's voice actor is Kimura Ryouhei...i.e. Kise from Kuroko no Basuke (as well as Bokuto from Haikyuu!!, Nishimura from Natsume, and Kamui from Psycho-Pass). So my Kuroko no Basuke cult leader brain immediately jumped to thinking of Kise and Aomine given Suwabe voices Sukuna 🤣 What I will say though is that Kashimo definitely seems a smarter character than most of the others I've heard Kimura voice with how well he thought out the rule he wanted to add 😂😅 Your suggestions of cosplay all I could think for the possibility of cosplaying Tengen is a sheet draped over you with extra eyes drawn on it 😂

Anime Annie

Great episode, but the end left me with a question. When did Yuji become a player? Kogane appeared over his head and it's only attached to players, but as far as I remember Yuji didn't even know about the Culling Games until Tengen told him. Does he count as an ancient sorcerer because of Sukuna? Or did he accidentally enter a colony while in Shibuya?
