Hey all! Wanted to share a quick update. First off, the TF2 update yesterday broke all demos. But I found a quick fix that allows you to watch and record demos from before the update. Just make sure to undo the fix or verify the game files if you want to play normally again afterwards. Link to dat in my Discord server: https://discord.gg/n6H7ych
I'm working on new Top10 episodes as well, and getting some voluntary help (more info soon)! So new content is definitely coming. However, I'm unsure the Top10 of the month format is still ideal seeing the slow decline in views and interest. So I might start experimenting a bit. There's also a lot less clip submissions, but that's understandable with me being away for so long. So get to submitting those clips again!!! https://lucvisuals.nl/submit/
Traveling SE Asia for a while and moving to a new place (twice), as well as having a super busy period business wise meant I couldn't keep up making TF2 videos. And I won't deny going from standard 100K+ views on each Top10 vs barely hitting 10K isn't great for staying motivated.
I'm taking my time trying to kickstart the channel again and seeing what I can do different now that things are settling down again a little. If you have any ideas or suggestions, be sure to let me know! Although I will probably go back to the digital nomad life in the winter, so I will have to find a way to keep things going without a fancy desktop and things then.
So thanks so much to everybody that stuck with me and keep an eye out for new videos! :)

Update time! Don't want to leave you guys in the dark so here's the situation...
Things have been hectic, and I planned a trip which is now getting close. I'm upgrading my living space, although I just moved, I will be moving again to newly built home after I get back from traveling. Currently I'm too busy with freelance work so I can't realistically finish any Top10s before I leave for Vietnam in 2 weeks. I might work on some TF2 content while in Indonesia (Bali) starting mid Feb, but I can't promise anything right now. I have a capable laptop to work from even on TF2 content but I've never lived or worked like this digital nomad style. So I will have to see how it goes.
I'll definitely see how I can catch back up when things settle down. So stay tuned and keep submitting those clips as you get them, so I have quality Top10s to make when I can. It might even be good for the channel to go at a high pace at some point to catch up with everything and flood the algorithm for a while. So maybe there's a silver lining after my hiatus. As well as me having a much better living & work space at the end of all this hopefully making me more productive! Thanks for (hopefully) understanding and keep fragging! <3

Hey Patrons! I'd like to share this timelapse with you. I've been recording some timelapses of animating lately to show a part of the process of what I do on my LinkedIn. So I thought, why not do the same with the Top10? Maybe you find it interesting.
Please share any thoughts or feedback below!
What you see in this video is part of the process - specifically the rough edit (montage) of the Top10 episode for May 2021.
Previously to this timelapse, I had already done clip sorting, ordering 10-1, recording (using lawena + avirecorder + vdub for those wondering). Then comes this rough edit. It's not that rough, since it's very close to the final thing.
The only things missing after this is the overlays, which I did a little later than usual in this case because when editing this the previous episode wasn't finished yet (so the overlays were still using the previous Top10 clips). And commentary, which is recorded by eXtine off of this rough edit after having rendered out a version with overlays.
When the commentary comes in, there is still quite a bit of editing to be done, but mostly sound editing and final touches, credits etc. Not to mention a thumbnail and fitting title.
