WIND BREAKER Season 2: Episode 2 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Comments

Thank you so much for the comment! Natori…yeah…he really thought him and Kaji were going to connect, and I guess…they DID, but not in the way he intended! It’s so wild to realize that’s Yuuji’s VA! And wild we have multiple Natori’s going on here! Sakura getting LOCKED IN was fun to witness! Also, how Tsuge even did ANYTHING in those flippy floppies was fun, but Sugi getting to have the upper hand was great, too, and diss Sakura at the same time, haha! He most certainly would not have liked facing Choji. Kiryuu ragebaiting the misogynist and winning was so good! Suo is definitely scary when mad, and I’m keeping my sights on him! It was a great use of environment and tension throughout the Kaji and Natori battle - totally agree - and I loved their back and forth! Omegaverse Potential in ALL of Wind Breaker! XD I love how Sakura got to relax at the end and it wound down with the talk to Nagato. I love how Kaji, Sakura, and Umemiya (as well as Hiragi even) are all handling situations in similar but different ways! And I agree - Smiley Suo is better than Scary Suo!

Thanks for the reaction! Natori trying to kin Kaji but missread him very much lol Lots of yapping from natori but Kaji is not a man of words (even though what he does say is great)... there was no conversation happening here, unlike Shishitoren. Here, Natori was just assuming things about Kaji but not actually trying to understand him. and I think Kaji was trying to understand the situation but he wasn't trying to understand Natori either, after he let Natori say his piece earlier. Yuji's VA doing Natori's voice makes him so unhinged, I love it funny coincidence but the guy who did the S1 OP is named natori so Windbreaker has natori the cool singer and natori the asshole gang member lol Sakura is locked in and pissed off Edward elric 2.0: "at that moment he realized... he fcked up" Interesting that the anime combined the Sugi and Tsuge fights. Tsuge fighting in flip flops is wild. Sugi was funny, Sakura would be so offended if he knew Sugi views him as a small runt lol I guess this means Sugi would've hated fighting Choji too I like how Kiryu roasts the misogynist and ragebaits him. and yep, gets serious, jacket is on properly, guy taken down with skills. Hair down Kiryu looks great too Sakura now looks like a sad cat caught out in the rain aww "where's Suo?" good question... *boss music* Suo is scary when he's mad and serious... he didn't even play around like with Shishitoren... no lesson to teach here, just pure beatdown (And more) For why he's mad, I guess it's kept a mystery. I had assumed when I watched this that Suo was mad cuz the guy prevented him from stopping Nirei from getting hurt. But it could also be about the eye since I don't think other characters had mocked his vision issue before, not even during the Shishitoren fight. the light coming back to Suo's eye with Sakura's words awww Suo says he's no match for Sakura but he probably didn't see Sakura getting that wakeup call from Kaji either, they should both be less harsh on themselves here... the Kaji natori fight was pretty crazy. Nice use of the environment with the sand thrown, the rope, the chain... the sound of the steel bat impacting the railing and scraping the floor, with sparks as it strikes... chilling. I like the part where kaji said "I'm not a hero" and then his shadow became his younger self and yep it's Hiragi instead of the Umemiya you expected :D Hiragi, the grounded guy who kept playing a bigger role than what we expected from his initial impression back in S1 lol and natori saying that the guy who turned him human didn't know jack about him and that he's not fit to lead triggered Kaji! but even when triggered by natori's words, he's still able to hold himself back in the end there :') omegaverse potential? omegaverse potential :D Kaji's vice captains holding him up like a longcat lol Sakura finally relaxing after this stressful situation is a mood, I also felt like I let out a breath of relief after it ended. I like that Sakura thought back on Kotoha's words when he said his part to Nagato. and I also like Kaji's words here a lot: "no matter how you feel about something... others won't necessarily feel the same way. For better or worse" I think that's a good thing to keep in mind, and also kind of aligns with Umemiya's idea of a conversation meaning you need to want to know someone. Since it's important to keep in mind that others might not feel the same way about things. For the better or worse... regarding how they feel about themself, if you feel great about yourself, it doesn't mean others feel the same way about you. But if you feel like you're awful, others might not necessarily feel the same way either I think. Suo messing with Sakura in that end credit short, we love to tease him! but smiley Suo and serious Suo are different kinds of scary haha

I agree - every episode, you know you’re going to have a good time watching! Oohhh, I like that commentary about Bofurin fighting with fists as a group vs. with weapons alone! Nice to note! And YES – Suo’s mask slipping was very scary – but at the same time, it makes me want to learn more about him! Thank you for the comment!

Another episode of Wind Breaker only means a lot more fun, and I love it. This episode was fun, if more chill than the last couple had been... at least, character-plot wise. Something I find interesting to see is how Furin was winning the brawl at the beginning of the fight but then lost the upper hand. I think there's something to be said about Futin fighting bare handed but with the strength of team work and the sense of a group, and Keel fighting with weapons because they need the extra help since they fight like units, alone. And then, Furin regains the upper hand once the Second Years' actually help stop the tide of Keel memebers and they have enough breating room to fight together once again. That Suo moment was chilling, but, for the first time, it felt like some of the mask he puts on was slipping off... and that was terrifying.

Thank you so much for the kind words and comment! Hahaha, sometimes gore can bring me excitement in what I can talk about with it, if that makes sense! 😀 The choreography was soooo good in this episode, and I love that everyone got the opportunity to shine in this. Sugi had such a shining moment this episode! I loved that for him! Kiryuuuuuuu – friggin’ loved him putting that jerk in his place! Ugh, love it! Tsuge will FOREVER be on the innuendo train. And Kaji. KAJIIII, I just love him and Enomoto and Kusumi – they have really won me over this episode! I adored this battle with this show! It’s great! Thank you for the comment and oohhh, I cannot wait for the week to come!

Loved the reaction and discussion! Have to say your joy throughout these bloody episodes is just a delight! 🥰 Various things I loved: Just overall the choreography of the fights and how unique each fighter remains, even KEEL using the same style of “weapons” get interesting moves The intercuts between Sugi and Tsuge’s fights Poor Sugi being a powerful and slower grappler and having to fight a tiny gremlin 😆 Kiryu, just Kiryu: the moves, the hair, the deconstruction of the baddie’s arguments, putting on the jacket. So Good! 🥰 Tsuge not escaping the innuendo train 🤣 Kaji noting he only got to 9 punches 😆 Kusumi’s cute moments 🥰 Excellent discussion especially around Kaji vs Natori and also love that all the beans got to shine in the discussion as much as the episode! 🥰 And agreed, I like the way it is shown that KEEL members just make so many assumptions, because on the surface they are identifying and seeing the same behaviour, but the reality is much more complex. Cannot wait for next week! 🌸
