THEY WON! Insane! I would have bet money that they wouldn’t have! The hype was so worth it! And getting Taichi focus; I won’t turn it down! Taichi, I’ve preached for MONTHS, doesn’t realize how good he is. I’m glad his hard work and that he took that gamble FINALLY paid off and he overcame it, even if just for this match! Chihaya gave her all in this - I honestly think she might have been even stronger if she hadn’t had won at the start. And the praise from the coach is such high praise indeed! She is such an inspiration! I love it! Taichi DID get greedy! I would really root for Taichi if he was more forward with Chihaya and stops overthinking things – he really needs to! I also love what he and Nishida teamed up to do at this moment! And I’m glad Nishida finally got over his hurdle, yes! Nishida and Taichi both need to give each other more credit! I….am so frustrated that after all this time, we get a reunion with the three of them, and there’s…hardly any talk between them! Arata’s response was SO anti-climactic! He really needs to speak up and I hope that he responds to Chihaya as well and talks with her! That’s a VERY interesting point about Shinobu being overwhelmed with the reading from Yamashiro. I hadn’t considered that being too much for her, so I’m glad you pointed it out! Yes, this episode was SO fantastic and honestly, made this match just as good as the SemiFinal, which I love! Thank you so much for the comment!

They won!!!!!!!!! I really wasn't expecting them to win, but I was so hyped through the whole episode, and they deserve it so much. I loved that we took so much time with Taichi in this episode. He really is an interesting character to follow. Something I particularly enjoy is how good Taichi is at putting pressure on his opponents, and I don't think he realizes just how good he is at it, or how good and useful an skill that is. He has a very intense presence, when he leaves his insecurities behind and just focuses on wining. Now, I want him to realize it and do it more intentionally, use it as a skill to throw off his opponent; since his luck is terrible, it's really cool that he can make hardwork and concentration his weapon. Chihaya really played her heart out in this match, but I can't help but wonder how much better she could have played had she not been injured. She already got praised by Fujisaki's coach, that no player from the team would have been able to beat her, so I wonder what she would have thought of a peak performance Chihaya. It is so impressive, regardless of everything else, to see Chihaya played while in so much pain. She truly is an inspiration, and seeing her passion is making her become one of my favorite anime characters. Taichi saying he wants to become Master at the same time Chihaya becomes Queen made me swoon. He really went greedy now. And I hope it keeps been that way and he starts to be more forward with Chihaya and forthright with his wants, stops overthinking things so much and goes for it. He truly has the mettle for it. Nishida and Taichi using Hokuo's technique against Fujisaki was GREAT. I love that they learned it and utilized it to their advantage now that they know how it can be used. After the hard patch that he went through, it's nice to see Nishida winning. And acknowledging that he is a seasoned player, with a lot of experience that he can use to his advantage is something that I wish more people did. I know that he's already respected in Mizusawa as one of their strongest players, but it's just a neat point. Oh gosh, we finally get a Chihaya, Arata, Taichi reunion but it's cut super short. I do truly hope Arata says more in the next episode because Chihaya is out here overflowing with emotion and his answer was very... anti climactic. I have faith in him. Now, I'm gonna address something from the previous episode because I didn't have the time to write a comment then and I'll catch up now xD But I thought it was very interesting how Shinobu mentioned that she didn't like the reader because she conveys too much information, and it seemed to me that Shinobu felt overwhelmed with all that information and preferred readers that are more straightforward, who make it easier to concentrate on the cards, since she seems to memorize them really well, and not have all that information thrown at her. Though the whole idea of synesthesia been used in Karuta is so intriguing, especially if that is what makes Suo so good. All in all, this episode was amazing, this whole match amazing and I was supe hyped through the whole of it, really on the edge of my seat for it all.
