Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! I really enjoyed this one -- but a sea of tiny Vash's! The world cannot HANDLE the cuteness overload!! I loved the aspect of the "food chain" involved in this - I would have loved a little more with the eagle, but I'll take what we got, haha!! And yes, their dynamic was really cute -- I should have seen the snake skin motif coming! XD And yesssss, I really wanted to see a little more exploration of the "top" dynamic without the...ahem...magical element -- I was looking forward to that in this once we learned of the bird dynamics, so that felt like a slight missed opportunity -- with you, there! But regardless, still a fun entry! I'm glad that you enjoyed it alongside my reading! The next entr(ies) should be fun ones!! Thank you!!

Oohhhh, that is interesting to learn about the author! Thank you for telling me! You did some great detective work on that author and its name! I'm so glad you found it and yesssss, so wholesome!! :D I definitely would love to look into some of their other works in the future! Thank you for the comment!

Loved the reaction and discussion! This was another really fun and cute entry. 🥰 “It’s a stampede” – I still cannot read the word stampede without just imagining many tiny Vash’es 😆 Loved the little elements of them both being afraid of the eagle and just in general there being a larger food-chain rather than the work only focusing on snake > sparrow. Shirato and Komazu had a really sweet dynamic. Definitely agree it is Renga 😆 The skin shedding faked me out, too! If I had one slight criticism from me personally, it’s the work falling into the trap of an incredibly narrow definition of “top.” They could have made it work without the magic trick and still kept the sparrow-snake dynamic as their editor wanted. This was something that had been on my to-read list for a while and was really fun to finally check out alongside your reaction. 🥰 Looking forward to the next entry! 🌈

Yesssss, get them protest posters made! And chai tea is perfect for it! The cover is GORGEOUS -- as is the artwork! That's interesting about Texas Persimmons as well! "One hole that does it all" -- the way that birds just bypassed so many anatomy woes. Now, As much as I appreciate the link - hahahaha - I did know about the duck...ahem...corkscrews! ;) What a wild world the animal kingdom is, right? I always think of Jurassic Park (1993) and Dr. Grant saying Velociraptors becoming birds, yes!! Avian dinosaurs -- *nervous laughter* I believe it! And yeah, Animal reproduction (from the snake convo) is just...a wild time! AO3 probably has a field day with it all! The art was soooooooo good for this volume! I really enjoyed it! And yes, a cute little story with a splash of spice, just like your tea, indeed! Thank you for the comment and good luck with your protest!

This mission that searched Japanese title was hard for me The author's name is divided differently (it makes sense by reading full name. Unless it's meaningless), and Amazon introduces me author's another name (for straight romances), and I searched snake (Hebi) and sparrow (Suzume) but it's actually SuzuHebi How could I know!? But I somehow found Japanese version and read it It's so wholesome! And since now I know the author's other name, I will try her other work, too!

Reading along while I make protest posters! I remember when this came out. The cover is wonderful! Drinking chai tea today. Texas persimmons are small, black and the birds love them. You can eat them but you are fighting the birds for them. We had them in our backyard when I was a kid. https://youtu.be/uOVABtwmbmo?si=eMuYbYe3RButoEs3 Birds have a cloaca! 😅 A cloaca is basically one hole that does it all, including laying eggs. Now ducks are famous for having a cork screw penis so there is that. Video on some duck dick! You have been warned…. https://youtu.be/6k01DIVDJlY?si=_1LfEqfYV7HlSK2i Also a reminder that some view birds as a type of reptile ( because people think of dinosaurs as reptiles even though they are not) like animal. What I mean is that they are in the clade dinosauria. So they are dinosaurs, avian dinosaurs! But….. snakes are not dinosaurs! Yes, reptiles have crazy genitalia as well. Really animal reproduction is fascinating! Very cute story and the art style is adorable! The spice was spicy just like my tea! Ok, back to poster making…..
