No worries! I would have gotten to this and your other comments sooner, but my mod had to check them! But I’m super excited about the 4 kings! Especially Tsubakino! At least our villains’ have a drip! Tsuge also wanting to fight a bear? OH MY GOSH hahaha! Well, okay, then! I love how Anzai is cared for by his team! And that makes sense about Sakura and the bandages from Shishitoren’s fight. I do really like Sakura’s calm aura, though! I’m in shock you all waited A YEAR before seeing season 2 - that’s wild! I am excited about where Sakura’s character will go in season 2, though! And glad I don’t have to wait that long to find out! The OP and ED are just STELLAR, too! Break Winder was a fun bit of levity to round off the season with, but now…onto Season 2!

2026-02-25 21:41:34 +0000 UTCalright let's go.... 4 weeks late... 😅 Nirei vs Romania, who was more excited to meet the 4 Kings? the suspense huhuhu Tsubakino's red hair tip is such a slay and I also like how no one questioned the looks Hiragi's vice captains being the opposite in volume lol, sort of like kaji's vice captains too plant gardening metaphor at full force with sugi being proud of his work kaji's deadpan "I'm an only child" was so funny, and everyone teasing him about it Keel got the dragon drip, too bad it's being wasted on their terrible personality ... "this gang is not that big" yeah... Tsuge's dream to fight a bear lol, Anzai you're such a bad liar even gullible Sakura clocked you Kiryu's "yatta!" is so adorable I kept replaying it! Sakura's body language when he said there were things people don't want others to know 😭 I like how everyone cares about anzai but approaches the situation differently I like Tsuchiya being kind of a troublemaker with anzai when she was younger and how her voice is kinda calm and tom boyish rather than the cutesy type. Her VA is pretty new so she hasn't voiced many characters yet, though she did voice the MC from Elusive Samurai. Sakura was so cute freaking out about comforting a crying person lol and not giving her his food... I like the streetlight lighting up again when Tsuchiya got comforted by Sakura About those bandages on Sakura's brow, they were stuck on after the shishitoren fight cuz he got so beaten up Sakura is cool and got some "aura" when he gets into the calmer serious state. I think when the anime was airing, some people thought Tsuchiya was the one who was gonna be in the photo but it ended up being Nagato himself It's funny how they said they don't intend to go with Anzai as a Furin student but then everyone's wearing their school uniform anyway I like the second years noticing the first years marching out and ditching school lol and yep s1 ended here on a cliffhanger and we waited a year till April 2025 to see the continuation Sakura grew so much over this season! the importance of meeting the right people! i love the op and ed! natori is one of my favorite jp artist so it was so cool that he did the op for windbreaker an intense op with a cool mv too! the ED is one of my favorite too, after reading the lyrics, i often tear up when i watch the ed... it's from Sakura's pov and it's clear he holds very strong yearning and emotion towards his friends even though he doesn't show it as strongly outwardly 😭😭😭 I've never heard of break winder but it's so funny lmaooo the many togame jackets and fisting haha

I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed these discussions and yes, I am 100% in love with this show so much! Darling beans, indeed! I’m so excited for what we got in this episode! Nirei being starstruck, Ume being so humble, Suo including Sugi (it’s one of my favorite things to see in the show), and the fashion for the season! It can’t be beat! Also, glad someone else got the TMNT reference! The Break Winder parody was a lot of fun - glad I saw that! That hallway chase was SO well done! And yes, Sakura’s first “round” as captain – our boy is not playing and takes his new role SO seriously…we’ll see where that goes! *slurps tea* Ume masking his social awkwardness – I just love the idea of the show giving us these subtle little layers with characters. And the themes to Natsume on accepting help and support – honestly, I think Sakura and Natsume would be good friends! <3 Thank you for the comment and kind words! I am very grateful for these, the reactions/discussions have been such a complete delight and have massively improved the last few months for me. Also, love to see how much you’ve fallen in love with the show and all the darling beans. 🥰 I have to note that, during the discussion of episode 12, the predictions you made for this episode were completely spot on, really tickled me. Various things I loved: Nirei having A Time on that roof, seeing so many of his idols all at once Ume taking the time to thank Sugi 🥰 Agreed, the shot of the Tamon team with Ume saying ‘leave it to your big brothers’ – I really adore it The “true crime font” 😆 Tsuge’s priorities being… mostly bears and virtues, virtues and bears 😆 Suo making sure Sugi is there and participating Love how much costuming/fashion analysis Wind Breaker has prompted over the season in the discussions! “Bebop and Rocksteady” 🤣 The Break Winder shot of the shoe was a comment game for the creator: “[username] won last round! First to comment “Once I make my move” will win this round!” That parody was really fun! I wonder if maybe the creators had some time or budget left over for the end of the season, so they decided to really flex with the animation of that chase through the hallways 😆, love that sequence. Though on a serious note, I think it actually links really well to how seriously Sakura takes his responsibilities as grade captain straight away. Really loved the elements of the discussion around Ume’s way of communicating, I hadn’t thought of him as potentially masking some aspects of social awkwardness (or at least gauging emotional appropriateness) and this really makes sense as another layer beneath his overall way of presenting himself. In this episode I really appreciated another theme linked to Natsume for me: the theme of accepting help or support, and how difficult that can seem. I love how they introduced us to the trio in Anzai, Tsuchiya and Nagato and what we see of their childhood. 🥰 Cannot wait for the start of the next season after this little break, and playing some bingo! 🌸
