If you go back to my anime reaction, I talk much more about Katana Man there – since I’ve already done it there, my manga reactions are more picking up things I might have missed the first time around or new insights. 😀

The movie is already out on certain streaming platforms like YouTube, not sure if that Feb Crunchyroll release is set in stone. Will gladly pay for the 24 rental stream for YouTube just let me know how you want the money sent.

2026-01-15 10:36:05 +0000 UTCInteresting thing about katana man that I never noticed until I saw a video essay on yt about it, is that katana man is essentially the opposite of Denji in almost every way. Katana man represents a more traditional man while Denji is a modern man. This is shown in their designs, with katana man having straight teeth and well kept hair with 70s sideburns. And also his weapon devil being a katana, and old elegant weapon. meanwhile Denji is the opposite his hair is shaggy and wild and his teeth are spiked and disorderly. And his weapon devil is a chainsaw, a modern invention that cuts wildly unlike a precsion katana cut. Also katana man is concerned with things like respect and honor, while Denji doesn’t really care about that. It seems obvious but it went right over my head the first time I watched the anime until I saw the video on yt.
