Novak and Draka’s deaths were so heartbreaking but beautiful in their design. “Rafal living rent free in his mind” - SO TRUE. And yes, Novak was welcomed in as a heretic - oh the irony! It’s wild to think that we could be living in a time of dimness, that will one day lead to light for future generations. At least there is an element of hope in that, right? Ahh, the Twilight Zone - that show terrified me as a kid! That episode is so wild! I love the message of it, though! I haven’t seen that one, but I’ll have to look it up, now! UGH….the fact that Novak was responsible for his daughter’s death in part, knew it, and kept her severed hand to the end…ugh, it’s a stab in the gut and the heart! And oh yes, I know many that believe they are being righteous when they have drank a glass of Kool-aid, indeed. Self-reflection would be GREAT! *sigh* What can we do, but I do question it a lot. Draka and the sunrise got to me! Even if she thought she didn’t matter, she still was given light. I think at the end she was at peace, at least, that’s how that version of her embracing the sunlight seemed to me! Honestly, that makes me feel better if I have to get a surgery or procedure that our brains do protect us and that it goes well - that’s really funny about the colonoscopy – but yeah, having that fainting spell, I was like, “Oh, so that was it? Okay, then.” It at least put things in a different perspective for me. Which in the most morbid way, was helpful! And Alberrrrtttttt, yes, only two episodes - WILD TIMES! And I definitely want the manga! Thank you so much for the comment! What a journey it’s been!

The conversation Novak has with his dying brain in the shape of Rafal, to me, means he knew what was true the whole time on some level. Rafal really lived rent free in his mind for 30+ years. Welcome to the heretic club Novak! The entry fee is one necklace and a blazing church! The clergy for sale, why of course! We have been here before. That long arc of justice is a bitch! Hahahaha! I hope that we move from the age of money to the age of world citizenship and stewardship. We only have ourselves and this damn rock so we better take care of it and each other! I welcome a new age of enlightenment and humanitarianism. Unfortunately we have to suffer first. Some lessons we continuously have to learn over and over again. Small detour to a Twilight Zone story I think of all the time. There is a sun flare that will toast the earth with deadly radiation and life on earth will end. The 1% who are wealthy enough build underground shelters world wide to save themselves. These shelters exclude most everyone else who cannot afford to be in this exclusive club. Fuck the poors! Humanity suffers with the realization that they will be sacrificed on the surface of the earth so rich people survive. The flare hits earth, and nothing happens! The people look around shocked that they are alive, the plants are alive and the animals are alive! They then open one of the shelters only to discover that the radiation has cooked every one underground. The end! This was included in a radio drama version of the Twilight Zone. Husband and I love to listen to the series on long road trips. Novak holding Jolenta’s disembodied hand. He knew it was her! He knew and kept her hand and put the pieces together, hand in glove. He loved her so much and he helped kill her. I was crying buckets… “ I was the villain!?!…..” in today’s America, this has rolled around in my head constantly! The people who have believed the propaganda and acted on it because they think they are doing the right thing. They are convinced of their righteousness. Racism and misogyny aside, because there is plenty of that, I wonder if some of these participants will have this thought at some point, maybe they will hallucinate this thought. Maybe there will be a reckoning. Some self reflection is all I ask! Meh. Probably won’t happen. They will escape to Brazil and Argentina. Draka and that sunrise! She may have thought her life was worthless, that sun bathed her in the light of the world. Sometimes it’s just like that. I’m hoping she was at peace. Oh man you fainted! Glad there was plenty of medical personnel around when it happened! See this is what I imagine death to be. It’s just lights out! Our brains do protect us. I have had lots of medical procedures and I actually love to be put to sleep. I’m like, yes please, give me the sleepy juice! Funny thing is, when I wake up, I just wake up! I’ve only had small procedure so nothing major. Last time this happened , the nurse put my glasses on me so I woke up and I was able to see clearly. I was like, wow! I can see without my glasses! I should have gotten a colonoscopy ages ago! Hahahaha! I didn’t realize the nurse put my glasses on. Hope that gives you a giggle! Albert……. Two more episodes! I highly recommend getting all the manga! It definitely is in my top 5 of all time!
