Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: Episode 1-2 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

*EXECUTED HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

WE HAVE SO MUCH TO TALK ABOUT.
It's the first two episodes in a double-feature that is one of my favorite sets of episodes...in the series? Maybe in the series so far.

New characters, new reveals, new rivalries, new alliances, and Gege trolling us all by becoming Perfect Cell from Dragonball Z with this..."Culling Game." I'm sorry I talked so long. I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: Episode 1-2 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

WHAT. A. START. Right?! Insanity! It’s seriously my favorite set in the series so far and that is saying SOMETHING! Thank you for some of these clarifications; with the one on Choso at the start – I’m going to be having some thoughts on this for the intro of episode 3! 😛 And yes, that makes sense – I remember when I rewatched the last episode of S2 that Uraumi was poisoned, but I forgot it was Choso’s blood. Makes sense! I had forgotten the info from JJK0 on Yuuta, so that makes sense! And makes sense for him to reject Yuki! 😛Poor Yuki catching strays! Yes, I remembered him going to Africa in S1! It’s wild Gojo had felt something off for so long…and that S1 and S2 did not have that much time passing in the long run. The SatuSugo and YuMegu similarities are just so wild for me; I live for it - obviously differences and I was simplifying in the discussion (which was long enough already) but I just love it. But yeah, the fact that Yuuji doesn’t get to choose when he swaps but Megumi chooses to self-destruct like an Electrode, hahahaha – stop that, Megumi. I honestly was half-expecting him to try and summon Mahoraga in this episode, so I’m thrilled he didn’t! Preaching to the choir on your 1,2,3 points in this! Yesss!! I’m so glad you and hopefully others are on board with this as well! 😀 The whole thing with Kaori is…so bizarre. I’m pretty torn knowing (and am only commenting in case someone else reads this) that this is supposedly unaddressed from here…if this is the only flashback we ever get without any explanation from Brain-kun? That will be a major negative for the series with Gege for me, so we’ll see. Anyway, enough of that – I don’t want ANY negative vibes where this series is concerned, because it’s too good for that! Thank you so much for the kind words and comment! I appreciate it so much and for you checking the comments for me - that’s so kind! I have special energy for JJK when I watch and the fact I’ve had to wait years for this is definitely part of that!

WHAT A BEGINNING!!! This set of two episodes was just so epicly good, from animation to story telling to new introductions to setting the stage for things to come … an absolute BANGER!! In ep 23 of S2 , Choso said he has 3 parents : his mother, Brain kun and Kamo Noritoshi’s. So The cursed wombs were procreated with Kamo Noritoshi’s DNA which means they inherited the blood manipulation technique that belongs to the KAMO clan. While Yuuji doesn’t have any technique known that he was born with (otherwise Gojo would have detected it in episode 6 of S1) As Gojo said in S1xep6 , either a sorcerer is born with a technique or not About the poison in Choso’s attack we ve seen this when he attacked Uraumi in ep 24 of last season and almost killed them. Yuta used reverse cursed technique before in jjk 0 when he healed Inumaki, Panda and Maki after Geto almost killed them as far as we know the 3 special grades (Gojo, Yuta, Yuki can heal with RCT) + Shoko Tengen greeted them all 5 (child of Zenin being for both Megumi and Maki) - vessel of Sukuna- Death painting womb and Descendant of Mitchizane ( that is Yuta as We learned in JJK0 and that Yuta and GOJO are both distant relatives and descendants of Mitchizane Suguwara a super famous Big Shot in the jujutsu world and Ancestor to both Yuta and Gojo). Tengen also left out Yuki , just like they were rejecting her when they step in 🤣🤣 Gojo went to see Yuta in Africa when he traveled in S1 before the sister school tournament. Chronogically, that is around the time when Fake Geto and his curses band were introduced and just after he fought Jogo. Which means Gojo felt something was off since that time!! Simalirities and differences between GojoxGeto and YuujixMegumi or more specifically Geto and Yuji : 1/ Satusugo were the strongest and took pride at that but they were put in the exam and failed Riko. There wasn’t blame between them but self loathing and guilt. Same for the boys , they feel a lot of guilt for what happened in shibuya and for what Sukuna and Mahoraga did. with the difference that Yuuji didn’t chose to swap with Sukuna but Megumi chose to summon Mahoraga 🥲 2/Also Geto never verbalized his inner struggles as Yuuji did here , he put on a front, kept it hidden and pent up until the dam broke. And he didn’t verbalize because, well he didn’t want to show vulnerability and weakness in front of Gojo who was getting stronger by the day - the moment Geto d have said that he was struggling, I think (in his mind) he wouldn’t be Gojo’s equal anymore .. Whereas Yuuji never was ashamed to say he s having a hard time since the beginning, he got where he is now step by step and learned from scratch contrary to Geto who was born with a extremely powerful if burdensome technique… a blessing and a curse 3/Yuji’s moral compass is more grounded and realistic thus more solid. Geto’s was more utopic. the moment it crashed on Reality’s rocks, it shattered to a thousand peaces. I can’t describe how ecstatic I was when you drew the parallel between them and I was like (roll my sleeves) 😂😂 Ok about Yuji’s mom : Kaori is seemingly Yuji’s mom. Grandpa said that Kaori is dead, and then she appeared in front of him, gently mocking him and asking : father, what are you talking about? The only explanation (and I m saying this only because it’s not explained well in the manga) is that Kaori died, Jin was possibly in denial and brain kun took over her body. Few I yapped a lot I think 🤣🤣🤣 It’s so good to be back Wonderful wonderful reaction and thorough discussion (are we surprised) Your JJK energy is just something else 🥰

That's precisely what I had in mind, but the entire scope of the ending can't be expressed without getting into spoilers. But I do feel like the red window clearing up by the end and the music going from sombre to almost overwhelmingly optimistic represents the process of grief, with the world still moving around you, and finally overcoming it.

Mathπ

The artist for the ending said he wrote the song with Yuji's guilt of 'killing' people and grief, and having looked at the lyrics, it really encapsulates that so tragically well.

Love the use of screenshots in the discussion! Also return of the long comment because I took a break from sorting things as I just have one room and the attic left 😮‍💨 Yay!!! You had the same thought about Naoya as I did. The moment they revealed how he looked I said in the Discord "Oh no, he's a f*ckboy!" 😂 But with the piercings I have to admit my first thought was of Yuki from Given 😅 Completely agree with your thoughts of his character. He definitely has that intriguing aura that makes me want more scenes from him, but at the same time if said scenes involved Maki proving the worth of a woman by crushing him I would definitely not be upset. When he did question who exactly Itadori was though I admit to saying "Fushiguro's boyfriend", but meh, Sukuna's vessel also works as an explanation I guess 🙄 I definitely take my hat off to Mappa for giving us enough similarities between the Zenin characters to be able to tell that they're related but everyone not being just a copy and paste of each generation. But your comment about putting Fushiguro's hair on Naoya immediately made me think of Fushiguro with Naoya's hair and that is an image I would like bleached from my brain 🤣 With hindsight (thanks to Episode 2) I feel like Okkotsu had Rika hold Itadori so tightly so as the "killing wound" inflicted on Itadori would be a more simple one to be able to heal. I did feel some trust in Okkotsu being his sweetheart self, but I would certainly have cursed up quite the storm if they left us a full week after the cliffhanger they gave us at the end of Episode 1. That "Tsk!" 🥰 Your girl here was definitely simping over the return of Suwabe a little 🤣 I adored the Battle of the Brothers! Both in terms of their physical fight but also the difference between Naoya and Choso's ideologies on the role older siblings play. It definitely made me adore Choso's character so much more. All the manga readers I'm sure were cackling hysterically behind their spoiler tags last season over how Itadori is exactly related to Choso. Brain-kun being Itadori's mother was certainly not on my bingo card! "Was Brain-kun in labour with Yuji?"...Romania. My mind had not quite reached that level of questioning the intricacies of that whole scenario 😵 Glad to see you not letting the shipper side down 😁 Like that reaction to Okkotsu's question feels so blatantly about Gojo's sexuality. But the question did make me pause for a moment, because if we look at it from a different perspective from Okkotsu being somewhat heteronormative in his question [he specifically used 女性関係/joseikankei which means relations with women], he's not actually wrong. Something bad did happen to Gojo due to his past relationship with Geto making him pause long enough for Brain-kun to spring their trap. I'll be generous and allow people to consider their relationship platonic or romantic, but either way it was because of that that Gojo was sealed away. Itadori finally called Choso big brother 🥳🥳🥳 I love that that's how he introduces him now 🥺 Though I do also love that Itadori doesn't call him "onii-chan" like Choso wanted at the end of Season 2, but rather "aniki"; still a familiar term but it's a honorific way of saying big brother. It shows that yes Itadori has now fully accepted he is actually related to Choso (and that he's not just another crazy person like Todo 😆), but denotes that they have only known each other for potentially several days, or at most a couple of weeks, and for some of that Choso did attack and temporarily incapacitated Itadori 😅 My first fear when I read that rule about being able to add a rule once you get to 100 points is if any of the Players involved are psychopaths (in a similar vein to the older creepy sorcerer in Season 2 that skinned people and the one that resurrected Toji), what's to stop them going on a spree kill of non-sorcerers to get those 100 points nice and quick 😅 Then my second thought after reading all the rules was that Brain-kun has created this little "game", so does that mean those times we saw them play Game of Life and Mahjong was because Brain-kun likes to play games and was building up to a much more terrifying game with real consequences? 😅 Your theorising on Brain-kun potentially taking over Gojo's body has me terrified for that possibility 😬 Maki is alive! 🥳 She looks so badass. Though Tsukumo mentioning about the scars being left is kinda making me want Gojo's scars from Toji's attack to be discovered...but at the same time it's also making me think of angsty SatoSugu and Geto not being able to shower with Gojo (or be intimate with him if Gojo is naked) because seeing the scars is a physical reminder of that day 😭 Fantastic reaction and discussion as always. Worried but also looking forward to whatever they're about to spring on us this season considering how much they gave us in just these two episodes 😅
