Two episodes that give us four fun things: Leorio dad-mode, Hisoka murder-mode, Gon adorable-mode, and Kurapika in BADASS mode! What a fun dip into these characters, with Killua chilling like a villain beside them all -- as we try to outwit some prisoners before time runs out and they fail the Hunter Exam!

Leorio is an interesting character with his trope -- I appreciate how dynamic he can be, even if I want to *gently* shake him sometimes! But yes, for being a "support/healer" character, he's a really nice twist on it! Thank you for the comment - I definitely look forward to seeing more with his character!

2026-01-11 14:44:22 +0000 UTCWhat I love about Leorio is that he is actually a kinda interesting mix of character traits for character in his "trope". Like dude is evidently clever and is team's "healer/support character" who is a kind soul who cares about others, but he is also fast to judge, can be very impulsive, speaks his mind etc. I just like this contrast in his character and I think it makes him a lot more interesting.
