I was frenetic this week, as last week had Shen Qiao and Yan Wushi in action and this week, we're setting up some possible conflicts! But not before Shen Qiao gets to take center stage and prove he's still "got it," despite being injured -- which Yan Wushi is concerned about, though he'd rather not show it! There's so much brewing under the surface of this episode - let's get into it!

Xiu Xiu and Bai Rong realllllly testing the limits here, aren’t they? Yeah, they may need to take the hint or will they end up being secret wing women? 😛 Bai Rong as a character is SO fun! I am obsessed with her design and personality! Is anyone a TRUE love rival to YWS, though? 😛 And Woe for All! Another comparison of SQ to XL in their love for weapons, and another comparison to HC being jealous of E’Ming and YWS being jealous over a SWORD. SIR. So excited for another Daddy Danmei character to enter the frey! I totally agree that the GO part reminded me of the Harry Potter human chess party, too! Glad that SQ was able to get through it - yeah, YWS really threw him to the wolves. But it does speak to how much YWS thinks of SQ! PETTY YWS is suuuuuch a diva – I love him, too, but MAN, the Abbot was PRESSED. Agreed, though, YWS is good at a quick pivot! And yes, what DOES he want - that is the mystery that I’m excited to learn more about as we go! And yes, he’s not clear – I like that we’re on the same page as SQ! AND INNER MONOLOGUES! YEAHHH!! I love how SQ is a mystery for YWS and YWS is a mystery for SQ and us, yes! <3 Thank you so much for the comment and kind words - we’re getting closer and closer to the novel!

2026-01-14 00:49:15 +0000 UTCAfter Yan Wushi being proposed to by xuixui, Here is Bai Rong coming back to hit on our sweet bean once again … Yan Wushi shamelessly insulted xuixui and SQ flew to put as much distance between him and BR Ladies, take a hint please And let these men figure it out please 😂? I love Bai Rong, the design and the sensuality the VA put into each word are so good. Her character is so fun to watch, she s not only a beautiful lady but a lethal member of the evil Gang and YWS love rival 😂😂😂 Speaking of the devil 😈🤣 so. Glad to see SQ reunited with his sword Woe for All !! The pure unfiltered joy he has on his face as if he was reunited with an old friend was so heartwarming to see And YWS immediately : You re happy now!! We heard the jealousy in your words sir, no need to play it cool 😂 Oh another Daddy is introduced 🥰 loves your reaction to him 😆 Ok that GO part was creepy, as I said it reminded me of Harry potter’s human chess party!! I liked how YWS pushed SQ to play (jerk move by the way because he took him by surprise and never told him anything about it) but it shows also how impressed he is of SQ and that he thought that the latter might succeed when all others have failed But let’s forget all of this : PETTY YWS is my favorite YWS 😂😂 he is such a bitch 😂😂 The Abbot almost has steam coming out of his ears But yeah it shows how cunning and quick witted YWS is and that he is able to turn anything to serve his interests.. which is something the show start to take note of .. what does he want (a part from SQ of course? 😂) Again YWS is a mystery up until now : is he evil? Is he good pretending to be evil? Is he both? I love that his character is never clear but push us to ask all these questions scratching our head along SQ Last but not least I LOVED LOVED LOVED, that we got their inner monologues in the yard!! YWS is unable to understand how SQ is keeping a good heart despite all the betrayals and hardships, because for him as he said : *all men are born evil* So how come this hot bean is still as kind and good as ever. YWS is our mystery SQ is YWS ´s biggest mystery 😁 Amazing reaction and discussion as ever, can’t believe that we are in the second half of the season.
