I love Hirotaka questioning if Narumi is really "into" him as more than a friend, and has decided to take action to find out the answer! It’s so funny you tell the “Bowling in Heaven” story - I was told that same story as a kid! I don’t remember if it was my parents trying to make thunder less scary, but I remember it! 🙂Funny how we sometimes use the same “examples!” XD And yes, everyone wants confirmation of love - agree 100%! That’s also interesting about the nap culture in Japan - I’m not a “nap” person per say, because it makes me groggy but I can understand how well that would help! Eeeeee….ooooffff…I really hate generative AI, personally. I’ve seen how it’s destroying critical thinking skills. The thing about grammar “correctors” like what Google Docs or Microsoft Word has is that it “shows” you the error, so you know it and hopefully maybe won’t make it in the future. When you just let AI do it for you, you’ve learned nothing about why there was an error. And it’s destroying your ability to create and write effectively. It’s no longer your writing, but an AI machine’s and that just makes me give the side eye to those that use it when you could grammar check yourself. So, hopefully you rely less on it in the future, but that’s your choice. I just fear for our society if we stop thinking and people become more simple-minded because AI is doing the work for them. It’s a “yikes” moment for me, so I will never use it. And I will disagree with AI as a tool in some cases - a hammer still requires YOU to know how to handle it and how to use it – AI takes YOU completely out of the equation. You’re…doing nothing. Sorry, #rantover hahahaha!!! The only thing I will agree with is that subtitling is AI, and THAT is a tool, but only because I don’t have the translation skill and I don’t think I could learn in time to translate…but checking your grammar? You can learn that. And pretty quick. 🙂 Anyway, thank you for the comment!

My mom was afraid of thunder as a kid so she decided that she did not want her children to be like that so she turned it into something fun. She would tell us that there were people in the heavens bowling and whenever they got a strike, that was when we heard thunder. So we would happily say "Someone got another strike!" every time a peal of thunder hit and laugh. Back to the anime, I think everyone in a relationship wants confirmation in some way that the person with them loves them. Whether its a date, saying the actual words, etc, it's nice to have the person your with give you those things or do things that makes you feel loved. My grandfather told me that a good thing to do was unexpected gifts at unexpected times, whether its an item or surprising them with a dinner out, even if its not at some fancy place. And we see Hirotaka finding himself in this kind of spot. He wants confirmation that Narumi really loves him. In his case, he is asking her out on a "normie" date. So we get to find this out next week. A final thing, with talking about past comments. I go home for lunch since i like .5 miles from home and get an hour lunch. So, I go home, eat a quick bit and then take a nap. And yes, it is normal in Japan, some companies have even nap rooms and and I saw where one company has special massage chairs for their employees to nap in on break. I do use AI (looks guilty) to help smooth out my writing by correcting grammar on my short stories I write to make some extra money or the book I am working on. It's not perfect but does help me make a final draft without pestering my english teacher friends read my rough draft and help with my grammar haha (fI never offered my friend money to do this, I just got them to do pro bono. So, I am not taking money from anyone, lol). There are mistakes it misses, but it does catch quite a bit. I don't use it for creativity, that is spent building my world (nations, leaders, military design, etc) and outlines for whats coming up that I fill out as I go. AI is a tool. Like a hammer, or whatever, it can be put to good use or bad use. In the subtitling by Amazon, that is a bad use.
