I feel you, but thank you for the comment and sharing your perspective, too! And yeah that is a fair way to ratio the two couples! I agree with you about Koyanagi needing some straightforwardness in the relationship with her. And yeah, that is a fair point about Kabakura taking that moment less seriously because she’s drunk. The detail about them being captains is good to note as well, like you said, because they’re in “competitive mode” - I want to root for both of them and it’s good to establish at this point that they have things to work on as couples - character development ahoy, yay! I agree tho that I like Hirotaka and Narumi better as a couple there is 80% vanilla and 20% spice while Kabakura and Koyanagi is the opposite. I do prefer couples that banter however if Koyanagi needs an honest response then there's a time and place where the banter needs to stop is my opinion. However you could make the argument that from Kabakura perspective Koyanagi is drunk and so he would take her emotional moment of being insecure alot more seriously if she was sober and maybe he would rather express how he truly feels when they are at home and when she is sober but it would have been good to show that if it were the case. I think as well it was mentioned that they were sports captains in high school so from high school to now they probably interacted like this all the time and so it's hard to be honest in a normal situation unless they are in competitive mode in general for both of them. I like this episode alot both couples have stuff to work on but both couples love each other dearly.
