Kisame was absolutely 100% right when talking to Itachi. They were exactly the same. For the well-being of their village they sacrificed their comrades. Itachi understood it in a different way whereas Kisame believed he was trash because of it.

That’s actually not correct. This mode they’re seeing here is the partial or imperfect 9-tails chakra mode. We don’t get KCM until we see Naruto and Kurama properly team up willingly with Guy and Kakashi. Full KCM has a much different and more badass look than the partial 9-Tails mode here.

CYBRLFT

Fun fact, I think you missed that Kisames finger just simply twitched and Guy instantly pummeled him without a second though and than he said "I told you not to move"

ArchetypePreston

Actually this mode right now is KCM kyuubi chakra mode the other one later in the show is Bijuu mode, more advanced than KCM

There is an animation from a Naruto Storm game where Itachi and Kisame battle each other, and I recommend that you watch it.

GOD

The love Baris has for Itachi is on another level. Its an entire episode centered around Kisame and he still spends the whole post-episode discussion talking only about Itachi 😂

Carter Schunk

Just wait till she see's SSJ2 for Naruto or in more accurate terms... KCM ;D On another note, it may have been missed but Kisame dreamt of a world free of deception and we get to see that realization of imminent death as he says, "I really would have liked to have gone there..." referring to the Infinite Tsukuyomi world Madara has been promising free of lies and conflict.

CYBRLFT

Ahh the era of warring states and the Blood Mist Village. I do love the connection here, to the story that’s to come, and the ties back to original Naruto. I think!! That Naruto was right. Someone here said it too, each akatsuki pair was similar in some way. Battle styles, jutsu, abilities, etc. Kisame joined the Akatsuki after speaking and being invited by Madara - he gets revealed to him later on. So he finally trusts him, and instead of killing his comrades, kisame finally willingly chose to die for them. For them and for the sake of the mission - to protect them and not sell them out.

Helder Romero

Itachi would’ve turned him into sushi!!!

kisame and itachi are actually brother adopted by itachi's parents from the uchica clan

RainbowCreek

Actually, all the akatsuki pairs were alike in some way. The thing that connected the two of them was their loyalty. They both did horrible things for the sake of protecting their village, and were ultimately shunned by them. It was part of Kisame's mission to kill his own team mates just it was Itachi's to kill his own clan. Where they differ was in personality and overall motive. Kisame was very straightforward and just followed orders like a thug. Because of that, he was often deceived. Itachi was always shrouded in mystery and was a deceiver. He lied to everyone and only a few people knew the truth about him.

NARIOUS DIXON

No wonder Kisame and Itachi were teammates

Jose

So kisame didnt know his reason for living was he truly just killing his comrades because that was his lifes goal ? Because he thought of himself as some fish devouring others to prove his strength or was he thinking of the mission ,to kisame they were the same thing until he met itachi. it was why he joined the akatsuki to find the answer to his exsistance. Only in death was he able to realize what kind of man he really was which was someone who made the hard decisions without hesitation, one who endured, who sacrificed himself for his comrades. He proved he was human in the end.

Goodbye kisame what an insane episode and we're only 5 episodes from one of my favorite episodes. Things are gonna get fun.
