Okay here is my story with this one, I have been wanting to practice making foam armor and just armor in general. I had just watched this new series and I really liked the armor design. It doesn’t require full armor luckily for me. One thing about me is I get really nervous when I’m working on a cosplay for a character that I really care about, and I build it up in my head and get frustrated if it’s not working out or if I feel like I’m not doing the character justice. Basically I just wanted to try new techniques on a character I wasn’t going to crash out if I messed up on. The end result turned out pretty good! This one was a lot more about the journey than the destination you could say. I feel so lucky to be able to spend so much of my time on these cosplays now.

T1 Hana/Angel cosplay: the wig from hell (photoset)

This is(was) my Cha Hae-in bob 😞. One thing about this wig is it is the only wig I’ve encountered that doesn’t take heat AT ALL! I attempted to smooth it out with a straightener the day I first cosplayed her, but it burnt up and is still frayed at the top (luckily not noticeable). So then I tried to do the curls that Hana has which are just insane 😭 I probably could have done this with any other wig and I’ve done a similar thing with my real hair for an uzumaki cosplay, where you just hit it with a TON of hairspray and a little bit of heat. I was working on it for maybe 2 hours and every time I’d take something out it wouldn’t hold a curl at all. I also kept frying the edges. The only thing I could do is use a tiny bit of hot glue to glue the curl to itself after all that. I actually think it turned out great! Though once you put hot glue on a wig you can’t really undo it.

The sweaters are actually two sweaters, the back of a white one I had that had a hood in the front which I had to hide under the cape layer, and a short sleeve sweater top pulled up with the arms taped back for the top. Absolute mess in the back, if I was gonna wear this to a con I would definitely actually construct the garment but I didn’t want to buy stuff I didn’t need.

I miss u guys, I have my dates penciled in for culling games and FRIEREN, I AM SO EXCITED!!! Also, I WANT TO DO AN ARMOR COSPLAY, and I’ve been catching up on Berserk, I thought Farnese would be a good stepping stone so I’m trying to model her armor but I have no idea what I’m doing. I finally got a small 3d printer from Black Friday. I spent hours and hours on Blender when I was back home 🤣

MOMOSUZU NENE COSPLAY FROM HOLOLIVE!! I have been playing Tetote when I get a chance to make it to the arcade, I wanted to cosplay her so bad but there was literally nothing available online so I had to make it! I’ve been making this for the last month or so and it’s been one of the most difficult cosplays to construct. I think I fully broke my sewing machine, the needle is still in tact but it’s not catching on the bottom thread 🥲🥲🥲 I’m gonna try and mess around with it more but we’ll see
