T1 Hana/Angel cosplay: the wig from hell (photoset)

This is(was) my Cha Hae-in bob 😞. One thing about this wig is it is the only wig I’ve encountered that doesn’t take heat AT ALL! I attempted to smooth it out with a straightener the day I first cosplayed her, but it burnt up and is still frayed at the top (luckily not noticeable). So then I tried to do the curls that Hana has which are just insane 😭 I probably could have done this with any other wig and I’ve done a similar thing with my real hair for an uzumaki cosplay, where you just hit it with a TON of hairspray and a little bit of heat. I was working on it for maybe 2 hours and every time I’d take something out it wouldn’t hold a curl at all. I also kept frying the edges. The only thing I could do is use a tiny bit of hot glue to glue the curl to itself after all that. I actually think it turned out great! Though once you put hot glue on a wig you can’t really undo it.

The sweaters are actually two sweaters, the back of a white one I had that had a hood in the front which I had to hide under the cape layer, and a short sleeve sweater top pulled up with the arms taped back for the top. Absolute mess in the back, if I was gonna wear this to a con I would definitely actually construct the garment but I didn’t want to buy stuff I didn’t need.
