Update: Moving, Isekai Terry, and Unintended Cultivator

Okay. We're rolling up on the middle of the month, which is when I tentatively guessed that I'd be starting the next Unintended Cultivator book. So, I'd venture that a lot of people are rather impatiently waiting for me to say something about it. Bear with me, and I will do just that.

Right now, I'm about in the middle of assembling furniture. It's a slow process. The days of getting assembled furniture delivered is largely a thing of a bygone era, unless you happen to be buying antiques which I am not. I've been trying to focus on the difficult to assemble things first as much as I can. If things proceed at the present pace and no disasters ensue, I should have that stuff wrapped up by Thursday or Friday.

Once that's done, life gets easier. I can focus on the move part of moving, rather than the assembly part of moving. I also won't have to organize my time based on the 4-6 hour windows when things are due to be delivered and I have to be physically present. I can also worry less about when I'm doing things. Assembling and moving furniture always has the potential be loud and bother the neighbors. There is a noise clause in my lease, so I can't start too early or keep at it too late in the day. Unpacking boxes is a much less noisy process, which frees me up to work on what I want, when I want.

In terms of Isekai Terry, we're approaching the end of the first book pretty quickly. I'm not certain it will be done this week, but I think it will.

That brings us around to Unintended Cultivator. I do plan to start work on Volume 10 soon. It'll probably happen after I finish Isekai Terry. At first, I'm expecting to stick to a one chapter per day schedule. That seems to be all the fiction writing bandwidth I have available at the moment. Post Dragon Con, I'm planning on declaring a firmer and more permanent schedule. I'm still debating with myself about the exact details, but I will have decided by the time I get back from the con. That's assuming I don't get con plague and end up sick in bed for a week. Fingers crossed.

On a completely unrelated note, I've been listening to the Bobiverse books by Dennis E. Taylor while assembling furniture. I've found them pretty entertaining. They are a hard-ish... maybe over medium hard... version of science fiction, but not the obnoxiously hard science fiction that requires a scientific calculator in one hand if you want to understand it. Just as importantly, there's an actual story there, not a science textbook with some plot window dressing. Anyway, it's worth checking out the first book if science fiction is your cup of tea.

Awesome and thx for the reply. I'm a voracious reader and love Long series

25, 30, something like that. I’ll probably do a soft reboot around book 15. I haven’t decided yet about the exact structure of that arc.

Wow, mighty ambitious! I'm excited for the start of UC vol 10 but please, make sure you take good care of you first, ok? And enjoy Dragon Con!

Angela Roberts

How many volumes are planned in Uc? Are you gonna do like nova terra and do a post ascention series where cultivators that he's met filter up and he'll be on similar footing to his teachers?

Rick Arters

Super excited for more of Sen. I know moving and all the fluff that comes with it isn't exactly relaxing and/or stimulating for the creative juices, so to be honest I wasn't expecting UC this month. Honestly, dragon con, moving and starting vol 10? I'd have been perfectly understanding if you'd needed a week break to veg out on the new furniture you bought

Yup i read some of the Bobiverse books, really enjoyed them. Looking for to book 10, many thanks Conor
