From the Goldener Adler Innsbruck. Since its foundation in 1390, many drivers and merchants who were looking for rest and shelter on their journeys between Italy and Germany were welcome. The hotel restaurant sits in the middle of old town among several other beautiful buildings with an illustrious history. It has played host to kings, queens, and some of the world's elite, but don't let that fool you. It is very charming and warm. The food was delicious and paired perfectly with a great wine.
I had the Adler Variation which is a combination of fried cheese-spinach-mushroom all in a dumpling pastry. Rumer Sauerkraut and Tyrolean mountain cheese. I can't say enough great things about it.
I hope all of you are still enjoying some holidays and not stranded at the airport. I feel for all of those that are stuck and think I was a very lucky girl to get back in time. I hope I can give you a few smiles as we close out this year.
