Whiskey Wednesday

I know I am and I'm ready to make it an even better one by introducing today's featured Whiskey; Angel's Envy~ Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Port Wine Barrels. The first time I tried Angel's Envy was at the Butcher Chophouse and Bar inside the Caledonian in historic downtown Park City. It was after a blissful day of skiing, on a cold, late afternoon. The bar was warm and the whiskey made me even warmer! I love the sweet taste of this bourbon, it's unique name and how beautiful the bottle is. When reading up on this whiskey, I didn't realize they have a couple other finishes. I will have to search for those, as I don't think I have seen them in the local liquor stores. If you ever get a chance, I would highly recommend it. Cheers ๐ฅ
Notes from Master of Malt:
Nose: Orange segments, flaky pastry and cinnamon sticks.
Palate: Creamy vanilla, cedar spice and the start of the red berry sweetness.
Finish: Dark chocolate, red grape and a light waft of aromatic herbs.

For example, Jack Daniels baked beans are personal favorites of mine, and a friend used to bring bourbon balls to Super Bowl parties I hosted, and I would request them year after year. Plus, I saw a recipe for Irish Whiskey Cheesecake recently that looked awesome. I was not sure if you have branched out into whiskey infused into food, but if you have not I highly recommend it!
