Alright, I can't NOT leave a big comment on this if you were gonna make a quarter of this episode focusing on what I asked. And this ain't a typical big comment... this is an advanced big comment. You've been warned. It's worth it tho, I promise lol First, we're both using T-Mobile, so they were the provider I was crashing out about the other day when they were making me pay more for terrible Internet. That's probably why you didn't get the upgrade you thought you'd have because for some reason they don't always throw in "fast speed Internet" in their offer. So that portion of you having to wait 2 days to upload something that should only take minutes... way too relatable ๐Ÿ˜ญ glad you at least caught the problem early unlike myself who waited a whole year to discover that.๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ 9:56... almost made me crash out and you know darn well why ๐Ÿคฃ telling us "idk how to squat still" while eating spicy dog treats lol. I was about to say "ya know, I should stop messaging you about fitness tips if you ain't gonna read it" then later proceeded to answer everything I asked so... you're sending me mixed signals like T-Mobile ๐Ÿ˜‚ 13:34 I don't mind that approach... but it doesn't give me anything about your technique. Later on you said I'm passionate about fitness and yeah, I got that from my cousin who has been a fitness trainer for a couple years on the side and attends and sometimes competes in bodybuilding competitions so I get a big chunk of advice on techniques and routines through him. Since he's not in here, I'll volunteer (hopefully along with some others in here) to get you started on proper positioning and forms so you don't injure yourself lifting wrong or if you don't feel an exercise working because of the form. It'd be really discouraging if you started and didn't know how certain machines (or if you're interested in a home gym setup) messed up on free weights and got hurt with no one there to help. I say all that for your protection cuz your starting line is... quite literally you don't know jack squat! But we can change that. It's why I'd say IF you eventually found a different app to chat with us and give us more expanded options for communication you can send a workout video (still find a way to keep your face and stuff covered for obvious reasons, please) and let us see how you're attempting some of your workouts. We can potentially spot things to avoid confusion or avoid any mistakes that may slip into your muscle memory if left undetected early on. And it's totally fine if you're waiting for comfortable workout clothes and shoes too, it's important to not have something restricting movement or exhausting you further for wearing the wrong material. Also, you seem to have a good local source of advice for this stuff too, so don't keep this hidden from them. They can not only be your motivation to keep up with them but they can also be a big in-person source of encouragement and support. Contrary to what you may hear. A good amount of people are willing to help out if they see someone new to certain workout equipment or the gym in general, so it can seem overwhelming trying to hear everyone's advice all at once, but everyone is on a different journey with different lessons. Like someone who I had just met months back discovered that I have tendonitis in both of my arms and that for the longest time I wasn't lifting with my arms properly to activate certain muscles in my arms and instead I had been abusing my tendons to the point where I really can't damage them any further, which... is not ideal to hear. But they were right. Never would've known had it not been for them pointing it out and it explains a lot of my problems with my body. That's why I'm adamant about you giving us (edited) footage of you working out so we can keep track of where you are and what you're doing. 14:41 It goes back to what I said before, most of the progress you'd see on your body will come from what you make yourself eat/drink to support your new routine, and it seems like you're capable of this. I just hope it's not throwing a wrench in your scheduling and you're able to fit in what you need to do. You don't need to be extreme with the shift right away, but if it helps your brain quit things immediately then... do what works for you. Pardon me for being a worrier like this. ๐Ÿ˜” 17:06 Here's my suggestion that I would like for as many in here to answer as possible: How did you find Wish's channel, what made you want to subscribe and stay, and then what made you want to join her Patreon? I feel like this can provide more insight on Wish's behalf of what got us hooked to the point we'd all find each other supporting her Patreon. Might give her some more script ideas and it'd be awesome to know that it came from folks in here. 18:34 Patreon does have a general chat feature built in, it's up to the Creator to set it up, so you technically don't even have to hop over somewhere else if you're afraid it wouldn't get enough attention. We can still send links to stuff and I think send pictures (APPROPRIATE ONES). I've seen it work from other creators I've followed and I trust the people you have in here to continue to be respectful to each other and to you. But hey, would you consider adding a tier in between Wish Upon A Star and Wish Come True that would give exclusive access to a discord server or whatever you'd prefer? That'd maybe keep the chat active and would be totally optional to enter and, while it is kinda incentivized by money, would be greatly rewarded if you set up your fitness journey in there and a couple other things and you liked how it was being monitored, could later lower the price to trickle in more members who'd be comfortable with joining. Do take more opinions about this, cuz it's gonna live or die because of us and I would hate for it to cause extra issues with people's experiences in here. One person shouldn't speak for everyone when it comes to this. Again, it's also completely okay to keep the idea in storage until you feel better about it. 19:38 Honestly same. Random stuff on the Internet can get me giggling pretty easily and while I had to build a new IG algorithm from scratch again (cuz for whatever reason they deleted my old one out of nowhere saying my Facebook wasn't following guidelines even though I never used Facebook in like 3 years), I'm proud of the funny bricks I've laid. My friends also keep a good record of inside jokes and create new ones any chance we get. I love making people laugh and I'm so grateful for my friends that get my sense of humor and laugh with me. They're super funny as well so we constantly feed off each other's energy and good spirits. And yeah, I love my humor. My mom especially helped me build it growing up and it kept our connection strong through the toughest moments in both our lives. You never know who needs it and you never know where you'd get it from, so for you I'm glad it's also readily available in your mind. It's free on Tubi and Amazon and a couple other places right now. It's from 2014, my mom watched it on Netflix and I was stunned by the fact this is advertised as a young kids film because this is a very hit and miss story that's really not afraid of being dark and suggestive. I literally couldn't imagine a little kid watching this movie or even reading the French book it was based on, so feel free to critique it as though it was meant for an older audience. In fact, I'm tossing this suggestion because I want this to be critiqued by you, as it can either offer some extra juicy drama plot ideas for your audios or you can pick it apart and tell me everything from a writing standpoint why it doesn't work for you. I for one like this movie, I like how crazy it can be, how the Tim Burton-like animation style aids the story and the symbolism of certain things play a hand in watching a scene a different way. Poorly describing this movie wouldn't do it justice; accurately describing the movie matches its insanity. I could spoil it and you'd still be surprised by it lol The movie is... "Jack and The Cuckoo-Clock Heart." There's no way you've seen this movie before lol. Honestly giving you advice on mental discipline and workout advice dieting all of that is hard for me because you know how you said you wanna use Wishfulthinking's as updates for us ? I actually do that myself and since ive found your content my life has genuinely turned around slowly steo by step for the better ive slimmed down from 200 pounds to 170 and have gotten healthier mentally and physically your the reason ive been getting out of my introverted isolation again because I actually hear how much fun you have been having going out latley and tried it myself and ya ive been having fun again hell the bags under my eyes are even disappearing after having them for three and a half years and I went from getting up at noon everyday to in-between 7 to 9 am my daily workout routine has held up well its mostly cardio I think most of us can agree is the worst and is killer another thing that was hard to start doing was helping my digestion is drinking warm beverages with meals because having cold beverages can clot things up and slow down your digestive system and not gonna lie i thought it was bs at first and when i tried it i actually started feel pretty good and have to say i still overall feel way better personally and I credit you with a alot of that because I truly can honestly say you did save my life at my lowest point so Wish with how much it seems life has been getting at the both of us my best advice is just go with what you said worked before slowly one thing or a couple at a time small steps like I took getting better with your content phase things out and slowly change daily habits and routines but do it subconsciously if you think to much about it your brain will exhaust itself by making it feel like work i do 500 to 700 reps a day with my weights now all because I told myself id add 50 by every Wishfulthinking and its worked I also told myself id cut out chips and candy and replace them with fruits and trail mix things like that and its all been going well so far Love you Wish and again remember one step at a time and your Wishfulthinking updates idea has worked for me so please give it a try ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿซ‚
