Two of my favourite secondary characters from Hi Score Girl, the relationship between Miyao and Doi is so interesting, likely due to their seemingly incompatible personalities.
While Miyao is usually cheerful and pure of heart, Doi is shallow, lecherous and snobbish - while in reality being immensely insecure and immature.
Yet somehow Doi yearns to hang out with Miyao (and the main character, Haruo), and the moments with the three of them are some of my favourites in the whole series. To me it never comes across as them taking pity on Doi, instead, their positive personalities sweep away his negativity, and they end up having fun playing games together.
