Love how this show allows characters to move in the third dimension in its action shots. It's such a unique look and feel. In E24, when Edel's golem whisks her to safety, it exits the scene by leaping away from the camera, as Sense attacks from stage left and the others retreat stage right. Then in E25, as Frieren kicks off the fight against her clone, she flies away to the wall, then returns toward the camera, lands, and pivots stage left into an attack.

Frieren, of course, can't see the ghost of Little Flamme, nor can Serie see Frieren's memories of Himmel and the Party, but to each one they are vibrant and full of, for the lack of a better word, love. It was also a brilliant way to hammer home all the contradictions in Serie, enriching her character and giving her layers of nuance. Under that mask of feigned arrogance or bored bemusement is a deeply feeling elf who, unlike Frieren, never took any steps to process her emotions. And all told with a cold monolog and the memory of a little girl holding her hand.
