The songs in season 1 aren’t in any real language, it’s just a gibberish/fictional language. Season 2 has does have that one song with an Icelandic singer though.

wow, i swear teeaboo watched made in abyss season 1, because i remembered him commented on how a certain song was in a certain language, but i suppose not. Made in abyss all the way!

Same here. Not a big fan of season 1 as a manga reader since day 1 even (meh adaptation), but Season 2 I really want him to react to. Gosho is a really promising director.
