It makes sense that Pennywise would use Hollaran’s grandmother to scare him in that because of two lines of dialogue from The Shining, because it seemed like they were close. Hollaran said in The Shining speaking to Danny about the Shining “…Me and my grandmother would have conversations without ever opening our mouths. She called it Shining.”
