I don't know why people are only just now having problems with her when she's been problematic from chapter 1. Yeah, the protag screwed up telling his grandma that she was his girlfriend. He shouldn't have done that. However, he immediately wanted to go back in there and come clean to his grandma by admitting he lied. Then Chizuru sees her grandma and immediately doubles down on the lie. Both of them are now equally responsible for the deception, but the story proceeds like Chizuru is completely blameless and it's 100% his fault when it's really both of their faults now. It's been a loveless relationship based on a lie that they're both at fault for right from the beginning. And that doesn't even include that Ruka is a creepy stalker and his ex is a psycho. This spineless protag is stuck in an endless loop because he won't just tell everyone it's all based on a lie.
