Final version

Here are all the steps followed to create the lastest reward for AuraTheRiolu!

• 1- Early base sketch: First and foremost, I start with the basic sketch for King's body, disregarding all clothing or things I consider secondary to the character, except for the paw petting them, from the 1st minute I start working on a different pose from the original ref given to me to make it less identical.
• 2- Full sketch: After that's done, I simply add the clothes on a different layer (in case I need to change them)
• 3- Sketch tweaks: The original pose seemed a little stiff so I decided to tweak the position of the limbs a little bit, while also cleaning the sketch a little too! Now it looks cuter!
• 4- Lineart & flats: Now I need to define all the details on the drawing in order to fully grasp where to add all the values for the lightning. 
• 5- Extra gradients & colors: I hide/recolor the lines so it becomes lineless, and then I add several gradients to add some depth to the colors before moving in with the actual shadows.
• 6- Shading: Now I start painting all the shadows straight up using proper complementary colors for the shadows and lights using a marker tool
• 7- Shading details:After that, I put some effort into drawing some extra details to further define the "fur" texture the character should have.
• 8- Lightning effects + shadows: Now I open a new layer and add extra lights and shadows with an airbrush tool. Pretty straight forward.
• 9- Extra glow effects: Using the same airbrush on an overlay setting, I add some glow effects on the colors that are directly hit by the light! just an extra I always like to add.
• 10- Background base: Ok now that the character is done, I start working on the BG, first I do the base for it defining both the ground and the forest (the bg is meant to be a forest)
• 11- Background front: Then, I quickly draw a set of 3 trees on one layer, on another layer I draw several trees in the back, and then in another layer I draw a dirt road.
• 12- Bg back + ground: Here I draw several extra trees in the very back, I don't take too much with this since it's not the focus of the bg. however I did take my time to add all the necessary details to the ground adding grass!
• 13- Bg final touches: And now I take the time to draw more closer treetops with a different custom brush, trying to smudge a little of them so they're not that sharp.
• 14- Extra effects: I add a couple quick light effects to try to finalize everything.
• 15- Final product: And now to implement them both! it is done!
