[Important Announcement] Books, Credits, and a Whole New System of Rewards for Patrons (Last Updated 11/8/24)

A lot of you have questions re: books, credits, and all that jazz.
And fortunately, we have a solution!
Although we don't have all the details yet, basically this is how it'll work.
TL;DR Version:
We're working with Backerkit to organize a crowdfunding campaign/pledge manager of content we've already created for this Patreon that'll be finalized into book form.
You'll get credits towards the upcoming campaign to purchase whatever products you want. And if you have enough credits, you won't have to pay anything.
Once the campaign is closed and pledge manager finalized, we'll ship you what you're owed.
All of this exists to help us stay organized since Patreon doesn't have something for this kind of thing.
If this works, we'll do it every 3-4 months.
Backerkit Crowdfunding and Distribution
We are teaming up with Backerkit to organize everything through their crowdfunding platform and pledge manager. Basically, the content that gets created here will get wrapped up into book form and put into a campaign for the public as well as all of you wonderful Patrons. This will make it waaaay easier for us to organize everything that we do, including pre-sales on these products to non-Patreon people who don't necessarily have credits with us.
What the content of those books will be?
I don't know just yet! But it'll probably be a mix of adventure books, Just Passing Throughs, and "whatever-is-floating-through-Dave's-head-at-the-moment." Obviously, as patrons, your votes and participation will help shape exactly what these products will be.
Additionally, we'll be able to add on add-ons such as dice, past books, and so forth.
Here are a few rules for what we're doing.
We must have the item in stock or have it at least ready to print. In other words, no promises on content that we haven't yet created. Once the campaign finishes and pledge manager closes, we ship.
Whatever it is will likely be content you've already read on here in one shape or form, just in physical format.
These campaigns will be relatively short. Make sure that once the teaser is up, you follow along. This will keep you from missing the window.
"What's it going to cost me, Dave?"
That's the best part: so long as you can prove that you've been a patron with us, we can download a sheet of all the subs you've paid since you've been a patron starting back to October 2022 (the last time we really sent something).
From there, we'll send you a special patron-only link that will let you go in, spend $1 (has to be at least one dollar) and then put onto the order whatever you want up to your credit limit with us.
When the orders go through, we'll cross-reference your patreon account and make sure you're good to go. So long as it's all nice and tidy, we'll get you going.
"Where do you ship?"
A lot of what we print will be done through Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing. So if we can print it via one of its printers around the world (currently US, Canada, UK, Spain, Francy, Germany, Italy, or Australia), you'll get the item at our lowest available shipping rate.
Everywhere else there will be an additional charge, but you can pay for those via your credits.
Additional items that we can sent print-on-demand will have charges, too, but again we'll offer the lowest shipping rate that we can.
"Will there be digital versions?"
Yes, we will have PDFs of the content. They will go their normal tiers (usually Electrum+), but also be available to individual purchase here as well as on the Backerkit campaign.
"What's my credit limit?"
Right now, we're coming up with a fair system to get people credits based on what they've spent as patrons. And fortunately, this will allow everyone at every tier to get in on it. Once we have that system put together—and before our first campaign starts—we will make sure that you have it. We will come up with a way that you can check your credit, but it will more or less by similar or at least close to what you've spent here as a patron.
The only thing we need from you is to make sure that you follow along with the campaign once it goes live. That'll help us keep track of you if you decide to leave the Patreon, ensuring you get everything that's owed to you.
