Poll #281 - Christmas-Themed Adventure... are you saving Santa or robbing him?

It's December! And it's time for me to write a Christmas-Themed adventure.

I know that I'm going to set it in a Christmassy map that will feature Santa Claus, his elves, and some reindeer.

The only question... are you there to save Santa or are you there to steal all his stuff?

In this poll, vote on whether you'd want an adventure that sees the characters saving the characters from an external threat or if you want the characters to rob him of his goodies.

Voting ends in 24 hours.

Can't go wrong with good ol' Santa, but how about some other winter character(s)? Someone here already mentioned Krampus; Gryla and Yule lads look like colourful characters too.

Forget about robbing him. He has to be taken out ;)

Anneka Gearie

lol, 58% of you lot are just a bunch of murderhobos!!!

Rob Santa? Really? WTF kind of Christmas story is that? If that ends up winning I'm going to have every child in the setting gunning for the PC's every. where. they. go. "That's the assholes that ruined Christmas! KILL THEM!!!"

They could be out to get one particular thing from him, not all his toys. Maybe some cursed item accidentally got picked up by his elves and they're about to deliver it to a kid? Another idea is they could be doing the robbery as a job for a patron, only to find out at the end that Santa was their patron all along and he asked them only to test his defenses or to help suss out a spy or something.

This sounds awesome. Would love to see what happens when the players realize that Santa is actually an archfey patron... 😈

Frank Moore

Krampus is tired of all the bad press and wants to be the "good face of Christmas". Where can he get 200,000,000 toys at short notice?

David Gee

Save a good Santa, rob/kill an evil one. However the kids I dm for just want to stab, loot, kill everyone…

Nikki

Lets throw together a rougue's gallery and go find out how he finances his toy deliveries. We already know he's the master at B&E, Let's see what he "borrows" from each house on that night.

Jon Jones

Let's. Go. MUG 'IM!
